It is quite encouraging to see that there are not many whinging losing supporters in this forum just pretty pragmatic and open minded footy followers. Firstly to JVGO yes you can actually score a try from a “Falcon” and no the International Laws of Rugby League will not be changed to accommodate the ball being propelled forward. Secondly Ferret to say that both side’s attack was poor was an extremely broad observation of the game – the defence was fast, brutal and up and in the face of the opposition the entire game which is unfortunate for you open play lovers – dour and grinding attack and subsequent tries from kicks results. The two “No Try” decisions earlier were pretty clear I thought – the law states that 2 feet must be behind the ball and they weren’t and Uate’s simply knocked the ball on. And finally this so-called “controversial” Peachey try – nobody watching the television could have conclusively stated that there was a knock-on there was no eveidence of same. The side view angle actually reasonably clearly showed that the ball propelled forward quite dramatically – something that could only occur as a result of hitting a leg/thigh and not a slight hand touch.

These observations should be pretty clear and practical to any OPEN MINDED rugby league follower and not a bleeding heart supporter, and to some it up last night the more disciplined, more aggressive, and more tenacious side who took there opportunities and didn’t squander them won the game. Simple in my mind guys!

Panthers push past Manly, next stop Suncorp

If we are talking about Draconian Rules, the maybe the Frizzell incident should be the new test case. The International Laws of the Game are old and have been badly tampered with in recent years to suit the media outcrying from time to time. I would be fairly confident in saying that the “No Touching” of the referee rule would have applied to the game we all know and loved – ONLY ONE REFEREE on the field. With this absolute ridiculous introduction of a second or “Pocket” referee to the game, another dormant body standing in an already compressed defensive line or loitering around busy ruck areas there is of course going to some accidental contact – not blatant touching to make a point though! The Frizzell case is very obvious of a player being mobile in a defensive line to take up position who was impeded by our useless flouro clad official. Maybe the International Laws of the game are what should be examined and “tweeked” in some way (god only knows how!) to allow for a 28th person on the field – why is the player at fault and being punished in this particular case when it was our useless extra official that was caught in the way loitering in the defensive line!

Inconsistency strikes again at the NRL judiciary

I read all you J.H. lovers’ comments but please how can you Parra supporters be really happy with a bloke who really only put in for about 6-8 weeks in 2009 and has been “missing off Nobby’s Head” since. Isn’t consistentcy and reliability key in any team ? Comments of “give him the ball” amaze me – HE IS A FULLBACK ! HE MUST LOOK FOR THE BALL BY CHIMING INTO THE BACKLINE – come and look for the ball matey boy ! Also Mac your comment about the Golden Point win last Saturday – remind me again what HE actually did to inspire that win? He backed up for 1 try is as much as I can remember! i AGREE WITH THE COVER STORY – Maybe Parramatta would be better off without him and use those big bucks to buy wisely or promote from within.

Do Eels need to let the Hayne Plane leave ?
