Yes I agree. I also dont think its cheating…. yet. If he keeps doing it though, I think it goes beyond being desperate.

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

I also do not agree with not walking when you nick it, but this has made its way into the culture of cricket. But reviewing when you know you are out is taking it to another level, cause you are hoping a glitch in technology is going to save you, and that’s certainly not in the spirit of cricket.

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

When Steve Smith had the brain fade incident, he should have walked off. He was plumb LBW, but desperation led him to do something silly. In my article I excuse Virat and also call it desperation to lead his team to victory. But even if his name wasnt Virat Kohli, I would bring the cricketer who is reviewing wickets they know are out into question.

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

Why is that? You either think it’s ok to be out and then review, or you think he didn’t know he was out, which is naive.

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

What do you mean? Reviewing something you know is out is meant to be swept under the carpet is it? And if you think Kohli genuinely thought he was not out, you believe in Santa Claus.

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

How can calling a spade a spade be hideous?

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

It’s within the rules of the game to review anything, doesn’t make it within the spirit of the game. If you know you are out, and I guarantee Kohli knew, should he be reviewing?

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

Just out of interest, ff you know you are out, but still review to try and remain not out, why isnt that cheating?

Is Virat Kohli a cheat?

I just feel if the batsman isnt sure, then walk off. You shouldnt be questioning the umpire if you really dont know yourself.

Fifteen seconds is too long to review a decision

My main point is you shouldnt be there having a big meeting if you really think its out. The DRS shouldnt be used as a hopeful thing, more as a ‘correcting an obvious error’ thing.

Fifteen seconds is too long to review a decision

When Carbury came for the Ashes in 2013/14, I thought he looked ok but hardly scored a run. Look at Cook’s current partner, averaging 24 in test cricket. They just dont seem to have an opener to partner Cook, let alone one to replace him.

Rashid probably put on 2kgs in those 4 days eating and not playing. Could think of worse things to do! 😉

England's mid-series report card

Personally Neil Black if I was the England selectors I would have tapped him on the shoulder in Sydney and said, Melbourne was great mate. You’ve been a great servent but that will do. But I think in his favour for wanting to stay on, is there mustn’t be anyone knocking on the door.

England's mid-series report card

Paul, I couldnt punish Woakes for not playing the first test.He simply wasnt there to score points. So you dont get 0/10 for not playing. A 3 also would have been fair for Cook. He has struggled. Just added a bit more value than Rahul or Vijay to date. Especially Vijay. Hard for Stokes to score points from court, or Rashid to score points having lunch and tea in the long room.

England's mid-series report card

Brian Lara was dropped on 17, made 501. Great players make know how to cash in…

India's mid-tour report card

Hard to believe Vijay averages 39 in test cricket. Always looked so fluent at the crease. India’s Mark Waugh…

India's mid-tour report card

Total wickets for the spinners at Lords was 0. England didnt even bother with theres/ Wasnt a wicket for the slow men. Kohli got a 10 for the first test and got a start in both innings in the second test where batting was super hard. 9 may have been a bit generous but didnt want to hammer India too hard. They have enough guys in their top order who have virtually contributed zero this series.

India's mid-tour report card

The top order has been horrible, with the obvious Kohli exception. I think you just need more out of the keeper. Karthik has offered so little that I think India need to make a change.

3 years later, there are 13.

There are too few immortals

The knocking into Leckie bit was like under 7s football where kids have no idea what’s around them, just go for the ball. And this was one of our world cup players…

Ange did everything opposite to what we are told to do

No, not blaming Ange. Just saying it was disappointing that a guy who didnt know us was in charge of us. And it eventually caught up with us. Not really sure the full story why Ange walked away, however I wonder if he has regret, or will have in the future. This was his dream that he spoke about from 2013 and certainly spoke about it in 2015 on Aus Story.

Ange did everything opposite to what we are told to do

Out of interest, where do the clubs the two Japanese players who scored today rank in the world? I mean, what a load of nonsense.

No, not all coaching appointments are simply jobs. Ange’s role was much more than a ‘coaching job’, he was responsible for the develoipment of Aus football, for his term and into the future. Its different to a short term coaching job.

Feel like im dealing with someone who in an expert in his own mind, despite what the reality is.

MAcLaren on two legs was always a better option than Juric on one. As for the Arzani blunder, some things that are just so obvious than managers dont do is simply bad management of a team. Read pickateam101 for tips.

Ange did everything opposite to what we are told to do

I have no idea how the media is on their coaches, I really only follow Australia. You can pretend you follow what the other countries media do, I wont pretend. MacLaren was scoring, he scored in a winning performance over Celtic. Its not bad going. Bert didnt know us. He just stuck to a formula and the same team when changes needed to be made. Someone who knew us and what they were doing wouldnt have done that. He took a job for the summer, got paid, now look for his next job. Australian football to him was a job, thats it.

Ange did everything opposite to what we are told to do

Nobody is doubting they had a great team. However the point was Gus said we just cant wait for the greats too all retire, we need to find a way to beat them. Maybe they were just too good, which would be a valid argument. However we still made our own errors that didnt help.
