They aren’t connected. They leave the dressing room when the knock comes back and walk around to under the stand via the entrance on the side of the stand. I saw it on the tour.

As a Wallabies supporter I’d hate to be without some lead in Tests before the RWC starts. Otherwise it would have been the Italy pool game first up with a do or die game against Ireland just to make the quarters. Teams organising their own internationals has some merit but I’d be concerned about the quality of those matches so not sure they would be any better than a shortened Tri Natons.

Should Tri-Nations be scrapped in World Cup years?

As Eddie Jones and John Connelly said overnight, Giteau is a world class player when he is at his best. He actually carried the entire Wallabies squad for a year or two there scoring all the points through mostly solo efforts in some big games. But he is currently far from his best and that’s not just based on last week where I agree he was behind a pack that got physically dominated. I wouldn’t leave him out of the 30 man squad just yet but I would make him go back to club rugby (has he ever played club rugby?) and prove he can take the ball forward and draw defenders for a full 80 minutes. Granted it will be a far cry from the RWC standard but if he can rediscover that ability then he deserves his place in the squad. Likewise, if Barnes is fit I would include him too. I couldn’t justify including both Ant Fainga’a and Pat McCabe at the expense of either Giteau or Barnes if both were back/close to their best.

Barnes or Giteau to miss Cup, says Flatley
