The refereeing late end of the season has been poor in general. You’d hope with two refs and touchies that they would pick most up.

18′ Melbourne Storm try
Storm are shifting the ball left to right then right to left. Slater almost gets through offloads backwards that hits a Raiders hand. 6 more tackles. Raiders are hanging on by a thread and it looks a matter of time until their line is broken again. Right to left through Cronk who gives a lovely short ball to Tohu Harris who steps through close to the line and plants it down. They have gone upstairs to check a possible infringement from Joseph Tapine who has stuck his foot out.as Harris grounds the ball. They have come back with a foul from Tapine resulting in an 8 point try and Tapine on report. WOW. Couldn’t get any worse for the Raiders here.

16′ After a good set by Melbourne, Canberra get on the attack. They are stretching Melbourne’s defense. Pass finds Rapana out wide who is taken into touch. Storm scrum 20m out from their own line. Off the scrum 1st tackle they are awarded a penalty and they go on the attack.

14′ Sezer and Hodgson work well and look threatening they shift right then back to the left to Austin who tries a chip to the winger that lands well short as Vunivalu takes that easily.

13′ We are seeing expansive football from both teams. After a good set Melbourne Storm give away a penalty on the Raiders 40m line. Canberra’s first chance to get on the board. Set starting 40m out from the Storms line.

10′ Canberra Error
Absolute exhibition in the opening 10 minutes from the Storm as they complete another perfect set. Raiders work it away well and are making good metres but an error on the left side brings them undone. Sezer gives a forward pass to Leilua.

The way it is going it is likely. They are looking levels above everyone at the moment.

8′ – A great set after points lets Canberra Raiders start the set inside their own 20m. A couple off good sets are vital here for the Raiders.

7′ Easy conversion for Cameron Smith.

6′ – Try Jesse Bromwich
A great play as Kafusi almost goes through a hole. Smith moves it left near the posts he gives it to Jesse Bromwich who reaches out and plants the ball. He will convert this easy and it is about to be 12-0 Storm. They are looking great early on and this is ominous signs for the Raiders.

4′- Off the kickoff they have kicked it out on the full. They are inviting pressure early. Will Rapana’s error cost them here. They have kicked for touch and start the set 20m out.

A good mini break for the Storm through Vunivalu.
They switch to the left through Munster. Cronk with a chip tapped back by Slater. Croker tries to gather it but knocks it on. Kafusi picks up the ball 20m out and runs through a gaping hole to score.
This one has gone up stairs and after consideration from the bunker it has been awarded a try.
Great start by the Storm.

We are underway. This should be a good one.
Raiders kicked off running right to left.

It might just be me but until that 3 goals in 5 minutes Manchester United like below par. Lukaku may have scored but didn’t do a great deal and United looked exposed on the counter especially early on. I think Leicester is a danger game and can see them getting atleast a point out of it. Side note- start martial Mourinho!
EPL Round 2: Five quick takes and Round 3 predictions
I can’t see a crash. I think Swans will be hard pressed to win this one in Adelaide but I wouldn’t be surprised if the Swans take it to them. To be in the position they are now after their start suggests they will go deep into finals.
Friday's clash of the birds could be this year's grand final preview
Tom Melbourne is an absolute cat of a horse. I would personally forgive Sir Plush on that run. I think London Fog could go on a winning run. Just wasn’t fully fit as the run was filled with plenty of merit.
Past the post: Rosehill and Morphettville Parks blackbookers
It works well in the EPL but that season is substantially longer. Shortening the season through the exclusion of finals would hurt the A-leagues revenue. When the season is longer and there are both home and away games it would be something that could be considered. The expansion of teams in the A-League should be considered before. If there was to be a A-League second division then the first past the post idea would be ideal then.
Roar and Against: The A-League should follow the EPL and ditch the finals
I feel your pain as a Liverpool fan myself. I agree fully the timing is a show of disrespect to Liverpool as a club and to their supporters.
Liverpool in a deal for coutinho would likely get Rakitic as a make weight. I think he would be a good fit but still doesn’t offer that creativity that Coutinho does.
Defensively I think zonal marking is a disease to football and should be reverted back to man marking. I’ve been an advocate for klopp but the structure off set pieces is shambolic and that has to be put on him.
Keita while he would be a good buy is a central midfielder or defensive midfielder and therefore even his arrival shouldn’t change the coutinho situation.
Why Barcelona won’t get their way with Coutinho or Dembele
I’m a follower of world soccer not just English soccer so know how well he has done at Juve and Real Madrid. For me I think he will have a solid year but may be a slow starter. Chelsea I think really lack squad depth. Players inevitably are out injured or suspended and juggling European cups with the league could prove tough. Morata is quality but may take time to adjust. Give him a season in England and he will be one of the top strikers in the league next year.
Why are there so many Alvaro Morata doubters?
Ok to clarify
Watching the bottom line regards staying well below the cap in order to have room for moment. It also has to do with overall profit and revenue to the owners. This comes in the form of advertisement, sponsorship, leagues clubs and third party payments which do happen. The fact is Bellamy hasn’t made comment on it but when there are whispers often there’s something behind it.
He has only coached the one team yes so there is no proof he could achieve that success with another club but his record is better than any other coach I can recall over an extended period of time. This is a team that has lost stars and has transitioned almost effortlessly.
Would Craig Bellamy leave the Storm?
Croft and jacks definitely have ability. I’m all for Croft starting week in week out but they will need some experience at five eighth. Maloney for me would be a no brainer.
Would Craig Bellamy leave the Storm?
I think it would be too. Personally I think Maloney would be the player to go after. A lot of people will disagree with this but he is a solid player who will give them structure for the youngsters to thrive. Even if they go in for someone like Hodkinson who has been a bit out of favour this year with Nathan Brown. Slater I don’t think will have more than a year or two left in him. Hughes I think would make sense back there and agree at this point with Croft and Munster in the halves they just don’t have that experience in the halves to lead them around the park. They will rely on Cam Smith who is also getting only a few years off retirement.
Would Craig Bellamy leave the Storm?
I can’t see Liverpool selling at any price. Unless there’s a written request from coutinho to push through a move I can’t see Liverpool selling. Premier League is about to start and it wouldn’t make any sense to as a replacement would cost a substantial amount and wouldn’t fill the void left by Coutinho
Selling Coutinho would be a sign of weakness at Liverpool
20′ Cameron Smith converts both and Storm are out to a big lead.
