Chiefs all but extinguish Force’s finals hopes in record Tron trouncing, injury concerns for Dmac
Nick, the Chiefs play most of their home games in Hamilton, also known as Kikikikiroa.
Their Hamilton base is FMG Stadium Waikato.
As moaman points out, Waikato is just one of the six provinces that make up the Chiefs’ franchise region, the others being Taranaki, Bay of Plenty, Counties Manukau, King Country and Thames Valley.
And yes, it’s time to accept that five Australian teams in Super Rugby is at least one too many.

Why has a young Australian rugby union player been given the same nickname as a deceased American wrestler?
What is the nickname supposed to mean when applied to Tim Ryan? Who came up with it, and why?
Many nicknames have obscure origins. This one is baffling.

“Forward progress”, eh? Nothing like a good tautology first thing in the morning.
Two matches per round have been shown on 10Bold, which is a free-to-air channel. They’ve made for good watching, generally, although not to the point where I would take out a Paramount subscription in addition to Netflix, BritBox, Stan and Kayo.

Did the ‘touchies’ [sic] get it wrong? In the absence of 3D replays, it’s difficult to say.
Certainly there is little evidence of a ‘massive howler’ by the assistant referees. Quite possibly the ball went over the top of the post, curving to the left after it passed the upright.
Massive howler from the touchies has to be seen to be believed
