I know it was not on the list, but I would like to see less stoppages where every man and their water bottle runs onto the field and attends to the players. If a player needs attention, they should be replaced under the same rules/conditions as a head knock,ie, leave the field, be replaced temporarily, but keep the game flowing.

New law changes confirmed for another season of Super Rugby AU

Don’t forget that we also get the ex storm winger next year. With Lynagh’s son in the pipeline, we could be in for a golden run up to and beyond 2023

Big future for Wallabies centres: O'Connor

The only criticism I have with Micheal Hooper’s leadership is his aggressive tone he used when addressing the ref late in the first half:

“Will you let me finish……..” he said, talking over the ref.

I can not see how having such a tone and style with a person who you are trying to influence will lead to any success.

Wasteful Wallabies draw a game they should have won

Great article Nick. As a Red’s supporter, it bodes well for upcoming seasons how well the Red’s contingent are playing. A Super Rugby AU championship is definitely there for the taking. BTW, one of those last still photos shows the benefit of good front foot football as at least one AB looks to be clearly off side.

How the bench warmed Australian hearts in Brisbane

“We were being pushed in the areas and provoked in the areas, and again that’s a tactic that teams use against us, and good on them.”

Hmmm…maybe that is code for a certain part of the human anatomy. THAT could explain why the AB’s got frustrated. 😱

'Provoked' All Blacks urged to be smarter

Quite possibly NV, but Swinton looks like the person who takes his medicine and keeps going. I don’t think consequences may be in his vocabulary. Australia needs to have an enforcer type player, but one who manages to stay on the field.

'Provoked' All Blacks urged to be smarter

I am looking forward to a much better showing from the WB’s. Swinton’s expected addition will go some way to that happening, as long as the other forwards aim up and make their tackles stick. As a team, the WB’s need to value ball security over pointless offloads.

Side point, it is more than likely that the WB’s will in fact be a top four team in 2023 capable of beating any other team on their day and beating some on a regular basis. But, given that the AB’s are the AB’s, we may still have a poor win rate against the AB’s at the same time as we play the AB’s more than any other team.

The quick questions: Redemption needed

and it may not go tits up either.

Some of these men have had some serious international experience so far and have performed as well as they could. Yes, it is the AB’s, but I AM EXCITED.

James O'Connor injury forces major Wallabies shake-up in team for Bledisloe 3

M Cheika record 1-0-99999999999999

This is sooooooo much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why?
No Foley, no dodgey selections based on who knows what, players picked where players should be.
This team will do me just fine.
Go Wallabies

James O'Connor injury forces major Wallabies shake-up in team for Bledisloe 3

Hannibal was good, just needs to drop the penalties. Gordon may kick better but McDermott snipes and runs better. Should have brought Hodge on when Tooma went off and promote McDermott. Give Hosea a go over Simmons. If Tooma is out for an extended stay, maybe Simone at 12?

VOTE: Wallabies Bledisloe 2 DIY player ratings vs New Zealand

Will it though?

TV commentary is a big part of rugby's revival

I totally agree with your post. I thought Kafer’s commentary was overtly negitive towards the Wallabies. I found this hard to accept.

TV commentary is a big part of rugby's revival

I am expecting the Rebels to throw everything at the Reds. It may end up being like the Lions (?) match earlier when the Reds destroyed them over the last 50 minutes of the match. I do not see any nerves for the Reds, too much fire power, too much resilience and too much class. They know they are on the path to being a really good team. Rebels to be competitive but not enough for the Reds. Sure Thing: TT to do a mammoth clean out at a ruck and get carded for 10.

Super Rugby AU qualifying final: Simply Red vs the Rebel yell

Plus Koro smashed that Irish halfback when they last visited.

Brumbies lock in Wallabies hopeful for another season

Ramm rates highly on my “o sh*t!” meter, in that when he gets the ball, as a Red’s supporter, he creates a strong sense of foreboding. Compare with someone like, say, Bernard Foley, who did not have the same “o sh*t!” meter rating.

I think Maurice Longbottom is the brother of Neville Longbottom, of Harry Potter fame, but I don’t think he was a prop. he was more like a flanker.

The Wallabies: Picking a side on Super Rugby AU form

For a young and talented rugby player, the obvious appeal of big contracts, media exposure and the sense of consistency, in that I mean that you can turn on the TV and league is present on all the free to air TV. Then add State of Origin and the insane amounts they throw at players. Just look at how much David Fafita is going to get paid to play with a struggling team the Titans. Seriously, why wouldn’t you take the money.

I have said it before, rugby union should be targeting the Tom Wrights of the rugby world. They have already been induced to the world of professional sport and the demands that that entails, they are more physically and hopefully mentally mature and you can cherry pick the ones which will actually go on to be something.

The Wrap: Truth proves elusive as Superman Suaalii saga rages on

With much respect Paul D, the drier ground and a couple of runs under their belt, the Reds will perform much better. I liked the way they backed themselves to get something out of the match against the Rebels, in that, they took 3 points late in the second half, then attacked with positive rugby to level up with a try. In saying that, i’m not too impressed with their play that made them be behind in the first place.

the Force will be better, but so to the Reds with a start to finish lead this time.

Reds facing Force is a fight to look forward to

Yes!!!! No selections based on strange versions of loyalty

Izack Rodda makes French connection after Reds departure

I would consider allowing them to win the coin toss….but after that all Red’s. 😊

And by entertaining, we mean a Red’s win.
