Even as an Eagles fan, this article is way too early. All anyone can really say at this stage is which teams are looking good and winning some games. I did think it was daft the Eagles were about 5th favourite for the Premiership before Pies game but what do I know. Anyone picking the favourite before at least June is daft.

Looking at the Eagles draw anywhere from 2 to 6 looks fair. So much depends on the results of a few tight games that most teams in the 2 to 6 group can finish higher than any other team. I would think the Tigers should be top as their draw looks good.

20, 22 and next years R1 was way overs. Eagles couldn’t get 20 and 22 down to an 11 or 12. Would have been a nice addition into a sometimes average MF (very good in the Finals) but getting Gaff to extend was probably the best deal possible. Not sure if Hickey is a good enough replacement for Lycett but Vardy has stepped up this year so it may payout okay. A reasonable trade period given their position at the start.

That is probably in breach of the Fair Work Act no matter what the contract says. RA can probably pay out the contract and allow him to play elsewhere, however this may also be a unlawful restriction of trade.
