It does, the Eagles were 5 goals better.

West Coast crowned 2018 AFL premiers in all-time classic grand final

So Eagles were dominant but Umps were biased against the Pies and gave the Pies more free kicks. Sour grapes unsupported by the replays. Collingwood deliberately held at the stoppages and got called for it. Generally the Umps are way better than me or you, except the Swans Doggies final.

West Coast crowned 2018 AFL premiers in all-time classic grand final

From early in the season, not the beginning, and you have been saying they they were not good enough all finals.

Collingwood fans have started a petition to reverse the result of the GF

Don’t disagree with you. Scofield was immense for a has been. McGovern best on ground as it was our defense that kept us in the game.

Five talking points from the AFL Grand Final

Grundy didn’t demolish Vardy and Lycett. Most of his hit outs were average.

AFL grand final player ratings: West Coast Eagles

Sure Anon, seen you pro Eagles views all season. It was at best arguable. Didn’t you say Eagles wouldn’t make the 8?

Collingwood fans have started a petition to reverse the result of the GF

Wahoo, great win, great game, Scofield what a performance for the little thought of player. Thank God for Jack D that we won. Had a bet with my Pies WA mate that the loser had to sing the winners song, there was a distinct lack of enthusiasm but he did it on video.

West Coast changed everything - and won the premiership

It’s not paranoid if they really are out to get you.

Sticking it to the east: The beauty of West Coast's quest for a paranoid fairytale

Demons had a soft draw, Geelong one of the hardest. 1 game separated them at the end of the season. Sure, I will bet everything on the soft draw team.

Can the lacklustre Cats salvage their season with a finals run?

+1

Grand Finals at the MCG are unfair? That's rubbish

Eagles spanked them last time out. Have to be a decent chance.

Who among the chasing pack can topple the Tigers?

Not sure re iPhone but if anyone else is android consider using the Brave Browser, blocks all trackers, ads etc and auto upgrades connections to https.

The Week 1 AFL finals fixture is a disaster

Took a premiership team and previous year GF team and destroyed them. Softest draw possible this year and lost nearly every time against top 8 teams. Out in 2 and we will see what happens next year.

Retraction and apology: Nathan Buckley can coach

Crows, come on Grannie last year not even making the finals.. Have to be most disappointing.

Port Adelaide vs Essendon: Friday night forecast

No JK or JD last week. That is a major difference

The Eagles are destined to be the ‘what if’ team of 2018

They didn’t give up much for him, he is still a very good player in very reasonable form, and they probably made the outlay up already in merchandising. Looks like a decent outcome for all concerned.

Chris Scott is to blame for Geelong's mediocrity

Why would we want to play them when we could be playing Demons or similar.

Will Richmond's challenger please stand up?

Not sure Eagles will host QF yet – have to win another game, neither of them are gimmies. I was a little worried by Essendon in the finals, they really looked to have momentum but they should fall just short, most of the others will not be simple either for the Eagles. GWS will be hard on anyone. I really hope Tigers do not lose their QF – if they did I would not be heartbroken for the Eagles to lose the QF and so avoid Richmond until the GF. Working to get second to end up playing Tigers in the Prelim would be pretty sucky even if it was in Perth. I would fancy the Eagles if playing the Demons or Pies in Perth or MCG during the finals.

Will Richmond's challenger please stand up?

Bottom 6, I would largely agree but for Richmond that is their 16-22 best players or at worst 18-24th best squad players. for some of the other teams, it is 26th-32th players in their squad owing to injuries. That really makes a difference – particularly if you are swapping no 1 or 2 or 3 for no 30.

Will Richmond's challenger please stand up?

Not even close to spot on – it was the old “finals” time interpretation to suit a club that hadn’t won a premiership in a while. Even as an Eagles fan it was exactly as I expected. Really, under the rules, he shouldn’t have been playing but all know that the rules are kind of stretchy if you are going to rub someone out for a Prelim or a GF.

Will Richmond's challenger please stand up?

On twitter at the footy? It’s a cesspool at the best of times, why would you spoil watching the footy with social media.

AFL Podcast: Round 21 - Who makes the finals cut?

Personally I have benefitted as the local Rebel’s team became semi-watchable. Only semi mind you. However as a Sandgropper I was not too impressed – really 4 struggling teams were needed on the East coast? We all know the truth. ARU had control over the West Coast team so it was easy for them to be cut and who cares what happens in Perth anyways, it is too far away to hear the screams.

Has cutting the Force been worth it?

That was good – very Roy & HG ish. I agree with Mr Dawson above, a couple of caricatures would have been great.

Crackling and Spanks' Tuesday wrap: Not a good look

Collingwood’s forward line is good but they are not even the best forward line of the MCG tenants, never mind the comp. Let’s see them get some real score’s against strong defenses. They were insipid and one dimensional against the Eagles but Cox was out. Would love to see them tear into the Tigers, would mean it a ripper game.

Nine questions to come from Round 18

Would be good to see Collingwood win in front of a full house. Might also mean Tigers lose some belief and maybe top 2 will not a certainty for them. Might have to see if I can snaffle a ticket.

Can Collingwood blow the flag race wide open?
