Mad Port Adelaide fan, live in Port Adelaide, 2004 and 1994 my most memorable matches. Grand final wins. Played cricket for 20+ years, now a baseballer. Hey, every ball is a full toss!!

So, Cameron, in a side with 4 wins and 24 goals isn’t in the form that McKay is with 11 goals in a 1 win team?

When picking the FF of the AA side goals are everything. That’s the exact measure.

Bontempelli, in 6 games (on AFL.com.au ) is listed in the best 5 times, twice the Bulldogs best, once second best. He’s had 2×10, 1×9, 1×5, 1×1 in the Coaches votes. Twice best on with 10, once best on with 9.

He was nearly best for Essendon in one game? Straight into the AA then.

I’d imagine you do believe they do, given you’ve got them in your side.
“Boak is always listed as starting on the half forward flank”, this discredits your opinion, you can’t have watched him much. He’s played purely as a midfielder.
Cameron has 24 goals to McKay’s 11, 58 score involvements to 37, has more I50’s, more disposals, runs at a better efficiency, more marks…..how can McKay bring more?

Wingard is still a match winner and will do exactly that for Hawthorn over the next few years, but, as a Port Adelaide fan I am thrilled at the trade. Whilst Wingard has the ability to do things few do we didn’t see it often enough, that’s what enigmatic players do. Burton, on the other hand, is as solid as a rock, will be a fixture in Port’s back half for another 10 years and pick 15, thrown in (became 18) was used to bring in Xavier Durrsma who already has a Rising Star nomination and looks like a genuine wingman running machine. Right now Port have won this trade, easily. Wingard will still excite and deliver for the Hawks, but not as often or for as long as Burton and Duursma look set to for Port.

Neale / Merrett – The AA side isn’t based on who you rate higher, it’s based on who is in better form. Bontompelli hasn’t been at his best? Come back on Brownlow night at round 6 and see how many votes he has…..

Alex Keath and Tom Jonas would be ahead of Daniel Talia and Jack Hombsch.
How you don’t have Boak as a starting mid is beyond me, he hasn’t played half forward this year and no Jeremy Cameron? Please. Brayshaw? Worpel? Merrett? They’re not in there.
Tom Stewart? Lachie Neale? Marcus Bontempelli? Tim Kelly? Couldn’t get in?
I admire you for having a crack but I don’t think you’ve got many right, in my opinion.

Westhoff will be higher up the ground, perhaps on the wing, Marshall and Ryder will play closer to goal and Dixon will be the lead up across the top of the arc when back. Ebert will offer ground level pressure with Farrell, Butters and perhaps Johnson ( who I don’t have in my side but one who Hinkley loves at ground level ).

2019 AFL season preview: Port Adelaide Power

Sam Gray, along with Watts, won’t be in Port’s best 22.

Rozee looks to have better skills, Farrell better pressure, Butters more mongrel.
