Controversy on day one in Hyderabad
Hopefully Maxwell starts to fall out of grace with the selectors after this abomination of a game. The bloke is a cow corner, slogger who spins it less than Dave Hussey. We might as well have picked Ricky Ponting to bowl part time offies over this flog.
Indian batsmen tear apart Australia's makeshift attack
I’ve been hearing Cleaveland fans saying they want Lebron to come back when his contract is up in Miami. Strange bunch, aren’t they?
‘The Decision’ seems so long ago
Has there been any mention of whether Joe Ingles wants a crack at NBA? He has the potential to do really well there.
Don't forget about Aussie NBA hope Broekhoff
Yes, Franklin is totally not a great player. Your logic is baffling.
Lance Franklin is not a great player, nor are most of the others
It didn’t begin in those two series he just played without Ricky Ponting at all?
Pup's world without Punter begins
Warne is too much of a flog to be a good coach.
India will prove how much we still need Warne
Why do Australian’s limit themselves to the depressing position of Punter? Why don;t we here of other Aussies trying their luck in the states as a Running Back or Defensive Lineman (Obviously this isn’t including the Australian who is a linesman at college level).
Brendan Fevola to take another punt on NFL career
It’s not just sportsmen. EVERYBODY gets ink these days, so why would sportsmen be any different?
Athlete's inkdividuality
People get complacent when they become a “walk up starter”. Look at the Hawthorn team in 2010. A whole bunch of players were getting complacent and they were dropped to show that they need to stay hungry. Not taking a second keeper on tour just shows that Wade will play all 4 tests, no questions asked.

Really? That’s just sad.
Did you hear? Australia are favourites for the Cricket World Cup
Same can be said with Essendon and their performance enhancing/illegal supplement scandal haha.
Why I don’t care about drugs in Aussie sport
I’d only bring Haddin as a back-up batsman and to remind Wade that he needs to keep working on his keeping and that if he neglects it and slacks off there are others waiting in the wings ready to pounce on his position.

What is this blasphemy?
All Glenn Maxwell is, is a cow-corner slogger. I hope Hayden was comparing Maxwell’s bowling talents to Ponting’s and not their batting talents.
Hayden compares Maxwell to Ponting
Johnno, we wont be seeing a 5 test South African series any time soon and certainly not Boxing Day. They refuse to play Boxing Day now as they are starting to play their own Boxing Day tests back home.
Did you hear? Australia are favourites for the Cricket World Cup
I’ve been very impressed with Holly Ferling throughout this World Cup, she seems to be a genuine talent!

Couldn’t agree more, coverage of sports here in Australia is light years behind the US. Is it too much to ask for an in depth pre or post game show that can wrap up/hype the game that is coming up. At least Fox Footy were doing pre and post game shows for the finals, but this needs to be an ongoing thing.
What Australian sports coverage could learn from the US
I love how drugs in Australain sport creates such a fuss, but in America it’s nothing. Hedo Turkoglu of the Orlando Magic in the NBA was suspended yesterday for performance enhancing drugs. His sentence? A 20-game suspension.
Why I don’t care about drugs in Aussie sport
I’m not looking to make a fantasy cricket team, though. I was picking what I believed was the best 17 man squad out of the available players and I have only made 4 changes because the selectors have got things mostly right. Sure, if Pat Cummins was fit I’d put him in the squad, but I’m going for a bit of realism.
My 17-man Australian squad for Indian tour
Considering I’ve seen next to nobody mention Haddin, Voges or Hauritz should be included in the squad I’d say it’s at least a bit controversial. Not to mention I left the flavor of the month, Glenn Maxwell, out of the side when everybody (Including the national selectors) seem to be high on him.

No Most improved award here? Anyway, that award would have to go to Greivis Vasquez. That man has really stepped up his game this season and his triple double a few days ago shows just how far he has improved.
NBA’s (hypothetical) mid-season awards
Very good team. Finally someone who doesn’t just want to blindly drop Ed Cowan because he takes time to develop an innings and isn’t a slogger, a la; David Warner. Nathan Lyon should never have been dropped for Doherty, as ‘X’ is not a long form bowler in the slightest. I also really agree with dropping Watson if he isn’t bowling. The bloke’s batting is below average, Mitchell Johnson has almost scored more hundreds than him, and his bowling has always been his strength. If Watson can’t chip in with the ball, he doesn’t deserve international selection. I like your replacement of Voges as it gives Australia a partenrship breaking, spin option. I also think Khawaja or George Bailey would be good replacements in the middle order of this side. Going in with 4 pacemen is debatable, but I think it could work. Mitch Johnson has shown that he has real class, talent and technique with the bat and that he is more than just a slogger, so I could see this team working. In fact, I think Johnson has much more class, talent and tecnhique with the bat than that cow corner slogger we played in the second test.
However, I don’t think Clarke has to go to 3. Hughes is struggling with the raging turn of India, but his extensive knowledge of English conditions after playing a full County season there would probably help him at first drop.
All up, these are some great changes that I could get behind.
Change needed before The Ashes
