(Bruce Teague is a former airline executive and consultant to business and government with a lifetime interest in greyhound racing. For the last 25 years he has helped develop and then market the Greybase series of computer form analysis programs and has also written over 1,000 articles for a range of greyhound trade publications. Good luck to the girls. However, I query the comment about AFLW being a success. AFL bosses said it was and some media chimed in, too. But take out the boyfriends and local club tragics and the crowd were pretty ordinary. Most importantly, the girls were terrible at ground level, possibly helped by many being overweight. That made the spectacle a turn-off.
