From what I heard, Rory Scott has been unavailable because of a ankle injury. That’s why he hasn’t been in the back row rotation.

Brumbies knock over Hurricanes in statement win as Wright shines again behind forward pack

It was in the papers, so maybe not real rugby fans. Haha

Exclusive: Path clear for McKellar to return as Wallabies coach despite Leicester job, Cheika's update on future

The Brumbies were called the Real Madrid of super rugby in 2010 and 2011, a stacked roster full of international talent. But then they had their worst years on record. Jake White came in the following year ans had to start again with a fairly inexperienced team. In 2 seasons he took them to a GF. Imagine if he had of stayed on longer. I think he was trying to add more attacking elements each season, but obviously he left when the Wallabies job wasn’t given to him.

The idea of centralisation is great. But I don’t understand why they want all the clubs intellectual rights as well. Seems dodgy to me. Not to mention that at the present time I wouldn’t trust RA running a Bunnings sausage sizzle, let alone the 5 franchises.

'History of Australian rugby': Eddie backs RA's centralisation push, admits Wallabies struggles haven't helped

Why put Gordon under extra pressure in his first start by pairing him with Tate? Gordon should have White who has the better pass.

Pretty easy for everyone to criticise the Brumbies after this loss. They didn’t take their chances when they had them. But this was also because of a very good defensive effort from the best team in the comp this season. Yes they could of won this game, and it didn’t help that some players like Wright had their worst game of the season, along with Jack D going off early. I have high hopes for next year, Ryan Lonergan will take the extra responsibility and hit another gear, Valetini and the other forwards will continue to lay a great platform for the backs. Larkham will hopefully come up with new backline plays to get more out of Toole’s speed. Wright will also hopefully grow more into a complete player, working on his weaknesses. Laurie Fisher is the biggest loss, but Mowen has spent plenty of time in the Brumbies system, and I think will only improve the lineout. 2023 was a good but not great year performance wise, can hopefully only get better.

Triple threat turns to triple concern: Wallabies star's indecisiveness gives Eddie food for thought ahead of RWC

I wonder for how long Penrith will play in the Canberra comp, they have been beaten badly each week, they were even beaten 111-17 by tuggerenong a few weeks ago. They haven’t had a win yet. All their best players have left for other teams.

The Wrap: Super Rugby’s semi-final cream rises to the top

No he wasn’t, the replay shows nic white slipping off the clean out and Kellaway hitting his own player with his head.

Brumbies' back three go big to book home quarterfinal and end Rebels' season

I’d like to see :

6. Valetini
7. McReight
8. Gleeson

Half time when Gleeson is gassed. Bring on Pete Samu.

Grizzly discovery: The four men vying to be Eddie's 'boss bear' at the World Cup

I totally agree. And my comment wasn’t against the Force, they’re my next team behind the Brumbies. I thought the decision to axe the Force was stupid and typical of RA. That’s why a central system with RA calling the shots of who teams contract makes me nervous. They aren’t known for making good decisions over the long term. If White leaves to the Force, I’ll be unhappy, but at least he’s playing for my next team and not for the Waratahs or Reds.

Exclusive: Bombshell twist as Wallabies star heads West to start domino effect in pointer to centralisation

Although I can see the merit in the decision. I still find it hard to see players who want to be one club players moved on. I found it very hard to see players like Mortlock, George Smith and Ashley-Cooper play in other colours. Different situation to Nic White, but still hard for fans.

I would hardly call those two tries gifted. They both were run out of their own half. Frost ran 70 odd metres for the second try.

The Wrap: Scary Chiefs make it a neat nine, Brumbies miscalculate, breakthrough moment for Rebels

I’ve only ever coached an under 11’s side, so I can’t say how hard it is to coach. After watching the press conference after the game, I have a lot more respect for Thorn and Liam Wright, they are a good side and sometimes it is so hard to pinpoint why your side is not performing, answering questions like that after a hammering would be a tough task. I’m a not a Reds fan, but I can understand why you’re all so livid. But sometimes form can dip and rise and I feel the Reds can make a bounce towards the last half of the season.

Thorn questions future after Reds unravel in Brumbies loss

Everyone is shitting on him fairly harshly. I can see why, the reds are going backwards. But how much is that to do with coaching? And how much to do with administration, or just the players themselves? There have been a lot of good coaches who have taken the Reds coaching job and failed. Eddie Jones had a shocker in his time in QLD, but I wouldn’t consider him as a bad coach. Thorn seems to have an issue these last few years with his relationship with players. Maybe the players are being too soft and precious.

Thorn questions future after Reds unravel in Brumbies loss

100% true about Wilson, a few seasons in European rugby would do wonders for him. He still so young and then could come back and be a long term anchor in the back row. Potentially even captain.

Wallabies winners and losers: Eddie has gone away from Rennie's 'form' principle and backed his eye

It’s a tough one as a Brumbies fan. I can understand why the decision was made. But RA really needs to rethink their mandate regarding resting. The guys who stepped up did admirably, but you can tell they hadn’t played enough together. Its a hard enough task to win in Christchurch against the defending champions with a full strength side, let alone guys stepping up from club rugby. That being said, I think guys like Rory Scott, Charlie Cale and Ryan Lonergan really put in a great performance. Muirhead did what he always does and plays till the final whistle, never giving up. Let’s hope this is the one game they lose that drives them to the grand final.

'Disappointing': All Blacks star's double ends Brumbies' unbeaten start as Razor's wonderful week continues

I think they learnt a lesson from 2010. That year they had a team full of stars, they recruited Rocky Elsom, Giteau returned from the Force. They had a line up that looked awesome but the team didnt click, and they had their worst 2 seasons ever. I think after this lesson, they looked for missing puzzle pieces rather than flashy and shiny toys. Recruiting Pocock in 2013 would probably be the exception, although he would fit into just about any organisation with his professionalism.

Job done: Brumbies given fright but lethal back three, superb bench seal perfect start to Super season

Henjak got sacked from the force, he left the Brumbies so he could play with Giteau and be a starting 9.

Job done: Brumbies given fright but lethal back three, superb bench seal perfect start to Super season

Maybe because I’m so invested as a Brumby fan. But I did not find that boring, there was plenty of running rugby, set piece back and forth, great lineout contest. And lots of “Physicality” as SBW goes on about. Brumbies stuck to a game plan which put the Blues off theirs. Great game if you ask me.
ps. What a dangerous drinking game would it be, if you drank everytime SBW said “for me”, “brother”, or “Physicality”.

'A lot of courage': Brumbies win ugly over Blues to deliver Super Rugby statement against Kiwis

Those people calling Ardie a thug are some over the top clowns. He’s a tough competitor who let the contest get the better of him. He’s apologised, now let’s move on. Unless you can pin point other times he’s been dirty or thuggish, then shut up and let the rest of the weekend play out.

Savea CITED for throat-slit 'brain explosion,' faces prospect of lengthy ban

Won’t surprise me if Eddie gets more than 3 overseas picks this year. He has RA in his hands, and especially in a world cup year, they’ll give him what he wants.

Revealed: Wallabies trio set to return in massive boost for Reds as Vunivalu's chance to impress arrives

I agree. Waratahs were their own worst enemies. But the handling errors can be fixed, and with some better selections I think they could of won that game. That being said, Brumbies also looked rusty and have improvement in them. Looking forward to seeing the performance of the rest of the Aussie sides. Could be another close comp this year, fingers crossed.

'Humble pie': Larkham's Brumbies spoil Waratahs party as young guns shine on Super Rugby debuts

I was very surprised about him. The Brumbies signed him two years ago talking him up coming from shute shield. I watched him play club rugby in Canberra and wasn’t impressed by him at that level. I thought he’d lose his contract and head back to shute shield and be forgotten. Then the waratahs sign him. Must be something the scrum coaches see in him that I don’t. I think he’s a club rugby player at best.

'Humble pie': Larkham's Brumbies spoil Waratahs party as young guns shine on Super Rugby debuts

Rennie is a good coach, I really feel for him because I believe his results aren’t a true representation of his coaching ability. If only we could of kept his first choice 23 injury free. That being said, he has taken too long to turn results around, especially at a time when the All Blacks have been at their most vulnerable. I hope this doesn’t hurt his future international career.

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

Selections have been the biggest issue for the wallabies all year. Choosing Foley over Lolesio, Donaldson, or Edmed was a mistake. He doesn’t provide anything these players don’t have except experience, which these players are being robbed of. Chopping and changing the side has been holding the wallabies back from gaining any consistency.
