My sonwho plays Q Cup with Redcliffe

I think at that job interview in May the Broncos told Seibold he would be their coach for 2020 as they were going to get rid of Bennet, from that point on Souths had no hope, so the Broncos shafted Souths which happens in Rugby League.

Are there any winners from the Broncos-Rabbitohs coaching swap?

I agree with your observations on the easing up of the crackdown in the ruck area as to the cause of Souths struggling the last 1/4 of the season plus the Injuries to some of the key backline players.
I was pissed when they eased up on that crackdown & surprised at the ex player commentators continually complaining about it as I thought it opened up the game & the footy was exciting.

Who will emerge the beneficiary of the Seibold-Bennett swap?

Gillo is back so he will put some starch in their defence but Seibold will have to work out a way to stop Lodge from going missing in the big games, when he played for Redcliffe in the preliminary final against the Sunshine Coast & when they played the Dragons last year he was MIA & I think it’s time to put McCullough back to the Q. Cup & bring in Jake Turpin.

Can the Brisbane Broncos make the finals in 2019?

From what I read was that Boltons lawyer approached the prosecutor & it was agreed that if Bolton pled guilty to common assault the indecent assault charge would be dropped, maybe someone should explain that it’s still assault.

Cowboys will employ special minders to supervise socialising players

See the young man deal with the scorched remains, not sure what your getting at, Bennett has left a highly promising bunch of young forwards for Seibold to mould, he didn’t leave scorched remains.
I’m a Souths member & I can’t see us doing better than last year unless they crack down on the wrestle slowing down the play the ball, last year after Greenberg told the refs to ease up on that area of the game, Storm & the Sharks were able to slow down the ruck as they have been doing fo the last few years.

The great NRL coach-off

Steve, the official program of the Queensland Cup was consigned to the rubbish bin 2 years ago, they said it was too expensive to print & they weren’t selling enough, I was told that the clubs had to order them for their home games & sell them at the gate, most times they ran out, the QRL said that they had all the info on their website & you could print out the team sheets & take them to the game if you wanted to record the stats or you could pay your $7 for the big league magazine which has piss poor coverage of anything outside the NRL.
I enjoyed sitting in the stands on game day reading the stories in the Q Cup program, if they had a write up on your son you had a hard copy to put in the scrap book, your grandkids loved seeing photos of their daddy.
I agree entirely with you .

Those who try to revive rugby league's neglected icons deserve congratulations, not criticism

Bet the Kiwis are cursing their luck that they haven’t had a series scheduled against Australia whilst Smith & Warner are suspended, would have been the perfect opportunity to finally kick Aussie butt.

The rise of New Zealand cricket

Seibold made Souths exciting last year with their sweeping backline movements down their left side, maybe some coaches should look at creating movements like that as it certainly made the game more exciting.

Rugby league’s three-point moment

Sack Langer

The Australian selectors are grasping at straws adding Labuschagne to the SCG squad

It seems to me that the selectors problems have been caused by CA in the recruitment of Langer as the Coach, he said that he wanted to do the job his way, hence the other selectors including the Chairman are kowtowing to Langers recommendations hence the continued selection of the Marsh brothers, it’s time for Hones to take charge, it’s too late for the Sydney test but do something before the Sri Lankans arrive or god forbid we will be ranked behind the Kiwis if we aren’t already.

Labuschagne's Test selection is a farce

Unfortunately Gallen is wrong, the Rabbitohs are the most resilient club in the history of Australian Sports, they got kicked out by the Sharks Superleague buddies but fought back.

Confession of a Sharks tragic

If you look at the way the England no.9 played, then Bennett won’t change cooks game.

Damien Cook signs monster contract extension with Rabbitohs

Just wondering, did the Sharks pay any money to Holmes when he walked out on them??????

Johnson signs with Sharks for three years

Name a team that can win the WC, if you replaced Cheika

There is only one reason Cheika’s rival coaches want him to stay

There doesn’t seem to be anybody with any vision in the halves, the first kick in general play in the first 5 minutes went straight up in the air for a gain of 0 meters inside our own half, crabbing sideways, grubbed kicks into the legs of the opposition, the number of times in this game there were overlaps & the ball winds up with a forward who puts his head down & runs straight into the defence, as I have said, no one has any vision.

Wallabies player ratings vs Italy

Cricket like never before as Foxsports are advertising & they are right, no first test at the Gabba, so no win first up, commentators, so who’s new, we have seen them all before on varous channels, so what’s new, oh I know, India are going to flog us in Australia, happy days.

New era in cricket broadcasting

I’m pretty sure the Emerites are starting a T20 comp over there around the same time, I heard they might recruit Smith & Warner to play, that makes things interesting.

Full Big Bash League teams update: All the squads, imports, captains, coaches

Where can we watch it.

Moloney’s chance to join Fenech and Rose

No one has mentioned the Australian defence, it was terrible, the Kiwis had a fast moving defensive line whilst the Aussies was a static defence, with Johnson & others running sideways you need your defensive line to move forward with no gaps, this forces the sideways runners to keep veering back towards there own players who in turn have to give ground, thus shutting down momentum.
For a team as good as the Kangaroos why was there so much one out running from their forwards when the kiwis were gang tackling, surely the waterboy would have been sent out to tell them to use plan B, maybe they didn’t have one?????

Are the all-conquering Kangaroos on the decline?

The Melbourne Cup has become in my eyes a race for European horses to run off with our prize money, even if our punters buy an imported galloper & race him here pre race, the European breeders & buyers are still getting our money, & it seems to be easier for them to qualify, i will still have a bet on it but can’t get the excitement I used to, now the Everest is a very exciting race, the lead in races have seen the favourites win & lose, injuries have changed the complexion of the race.
I am intrigued by the negativity of people, what is wrong with asking for a public holiday for the race & advertising it as much as possible, what is wrong with the Govt getting behind it.
It is interesting to see the trainers in Victoria complaining about Not matching NSW prize money.

The Everest is not the Melbourne Cup, and should stop trying to be

When the media didn’t start a fire on Munsters punishment & ex players on Fox & 9 just say he had a brain explosion & didn’t hurt anyone ,then nothing will happen, I was expecting a 2 match ban, as the NRL have been telling us for a few years now that the head is sacrosanct, but that appears to be an untruth.
Time to get the judiciary back to Jim Comans day & give out the right punishments.

Strewth Todd! You’ve got to be suspended for kicking a bloke in the head

That big forward your on about only weighs 82kgs and is about the same size, so I’m not sure what you were watching.

Dolphins claim Queensland Cup in seesawing affair

It was a shoulder charge, doesn’t matter in what direction it happened, the family involved have been campaigning against any shoulder charges & I’m supporting them, I have a right to do that.

Slater is guilty but shouldn’t miss the grand final

Don’t know the answer to this conundrum, I have been a member of Souths from before Crow took over & I live in Brisbane, I don’t get any discount on ticketing when they have their one game a year at Suncorp, I don’t go & meet the players as the Brisbane traffic is rotten, so I am happy to pay my fees & be a member, I think a lot of traditional supporters have moved out of Sydney & with the influx of immigrants into areas where traditional support used to be has changed.

Why can't the NRL get more people to buy memberships?

I take it you are a Sydneyite Barry as you probably don’t know that James Ackerman, a playing mate of my son was killed from a shoulder charge that did not hit him in the head, he left behind a wife & two little children, so don’t tell us that they should not have banned the shoulder charge, Slater should have been put on report & sin binned for a professional foul, plain & simple according to the rules, I’m not a Sharks supporter, but I am a supporter of Rugby League & unfortunately Billy did the crime & he must do his time.

Slater is guilty but shouldn’t miss the grand final
