Yes i get that, but Eddie had a more sustained success with his favourites. Cheiks on the other hand started to go downhill quick after only 2 years with his favourites.
Fingers crossed Eddie has a very good 5 years again, this time coaching the Wallabies.

George Smith number one for me. Wilson Poey equal.Poido was very good too, comes in at 4th.

David Wilson world class 7. Loved his ruck work. Him Pocock and Smith are the best ive seen in a Wallaby 7 jumper.

The only problem i have with Christy is that he always says positive things about his Waratahs.
They are all perfect to him.
It’s never a balanced article.
The lavish praise is to over the top.
It’s like the old FOX SPORTS and now STAN mob who drool over every word Cheika vomited.

Exclusive: Wallabies forward set to turn down massive deal in France to stay with Waratahs

England had more injuries than the Wallabies and still beat the Wallabies on their home soil 2/1.
So injuries are not an excuse, If you are selected for your country you should do the job.

Christy is not interested in those 3.
I know you are being sarcastic. But your comment has an element of truth to it.

Thorn does that to players. He has history.

Same with Will Skelton who would rather play in Europe. Or is it because no team in Australia would pay big dollars for him.

Unless you are Tim Horan. Is that one of the “players” you were talking about.

Whoa Cheika. Chieka blindly favoured his favourites thus hastened his demise as Aussie coach.
In Eddie we trust. Fingers crossed.

He will not be as bad as DR, that is certain.

Longeran is 99 kg. Pollard 104kg and Porecki 105 kg. You wont dominate the scrum and may get demolished if you play any of those 3 in the cup, the good big packs will love to pack down against those lightweights, especially if they pair any of them with 105 kilo Tom Robertson.

Wallabies Power Rankings: How every World Cup contender is placed ahead of Super Rugby

Rodda Frost Phillip Swain are front runners for the 4 Wallaby lock spots in 2023 with Holloway Swinton Hanigan Uru and possibly Tom Hooper as the tweeners in the mix.

So imo Skelton LSL Arnold Neville will be lucky to be in the 2023 RWC 33 man squad.
Personally i`d discard Holloway and Swain entirely for Uru and LSL.

Eales was world class in his first test and never slipped in all 80 tests. Frost has not shown anything like it yet.

Who then?

Rugby World Cup: Each Test team's most irreplaceable player

You are right, Rodda and Matt Philip are the first two locks on the Wallaby team sheet for me.

Rennie will say he has enough Hookers running around in SRP. BPA is no chance imo.

Coach's corner: Who should be in Rennie's World Cup squad? And will Jones make it to the tournament?

Dave Rennie has his favourites. I doesn`t really matter how bad his favourites play. They will always get another chance to stuff up, If Gordon is fit next year he will be selected for RWC 2023.
