Actually mate, most pro mungo players are alot trimmer than a forward pack of rugby players. Sounds to me like your description would better fit a Springbok or Welsh front row, and for being not able to string a few sentences together, these guys are probably studying medcine or law at Cambridge or Edinburugh uni, but hey, they look stupid. GoGWS, memberships seem to be an AFL thing. If you want to be finiky, leagues clubs have had thousands of members for decades, just like RSL clubs etc. Look on the bright side GWS, plenty of free tickets coming your way when GWS finally play. Appartently GWS have been offereing free membership to the boys in blue, a mate of mine who runs a cop shop said they were offeredfree everything, non have taken up the offers as most are rugby and mungo fans. You can’t give your memberships away GWS

the AFL will destroy itself because it is trying to be all things to all people and thats just not possible. People in Melbourne are brainwashed into the sport from a young age, with AFL house preaching to the converted. For the last 20 years, the AFL has headed into NSW and QLD (and lately NZ) as an alternate non contact sport. It has been marketing itself to mums of these areas telling them that if your son plays our non contact sport, your little Johnny won’t be smashed by a big pacific islander. Now, they are trying to market and gain traction with ex leaguies and into pacific island nations yet they haven’t modified the game to take into account people of contact sports backgrounds. They have no send off rule yet they want to mix their kids with contact sports kids. The AFL will regret the safety of being able to soley preach to the converted because they really donot understand how non brainwashed areas work.

GOGWS, you guys are obsessed with brainwashed people signing up members of a club. I wouldn’t be surprised if you had a few thousand brainwashed Victorians whi signed up for the Gold Coast suns online from VIC to add support to the Suns. We don’t work that way GOGWS, we have free minds mate!!!! St George leagues club has 35, 000 members of the leagues club, who cares mate, Petersham RSL has 9500 members of its club!!! you see we are not brainwashed so we don’t care!!! GoGWS,(mate my ignorance comes from) sitting sideline at Aussie Rules games at junior level, Sydney park level and at the swans (SCG) and I have played grade and subbies rugby and rugby league , mate I have sat sideline at both Netball and NRL/ rugby league Group 14, as well as super rugby/test matches, NBL and one A league match. Out of all of those sports GOGWS, Aussie Rules would of had the least contact of any of the mentioned sports including netball. Take it how you want but thats how I saw it.

AFL primary marketing strategy in NSw and QLD was to push the game thinking that most people in these states really had a dislike of contact sports and that offered a non contat choice the mums on NSW and QLD would push little Johnny into non contact AFL. That doesn’t work when a bloke hits 13 and can choose their own game.
