Deans couldn’t get us beyond 3 consistently and then we were pumped in the Lions decider, people turned on him. Not easy to see at the time that the job he was doing was brilliant with the available cattle. Replacing him was a bad mistake.
Strongly disagree with this. Deans had the best crop of generational talent at his disposal since the players who emerged in the 90’s. The team struggled against the Lions partly because of injuries and that Deans fractured the dressing room with his poor handling of the Amigos etc.
I do agree he was a brilliant coach and had the Wallabies playing great rugby for the best part of 4 years but his last 2 were pretty ordinary imo

'We'll sack him and be in the same position': Ex-Wallaby condemns Larkham snub as Schmidt deal CONFIRMED

Dida, I totally agree with you except in England’s case where they threw Eddie on the sidewalk and brought in a coach who came within a whisker of guiding his team to a World Cup Final.
Granted this was the year before the RWC.

'What the hell is going on?': Jilted Wallaby reveals Jones chaos and tells coaching flop to 'at least be honest'

The master needs to be mentioned..Conrad Smith. Nothing flashy but gee he held that backline together like magic glue and ran suppprt lines with a level of desperation we’ve only really seen in Hooper.

Rugby News: All Black demoted in ruthless captaincy call, Jake White expects to be 'killed' for 6N view, Kiwi ace joins Force

I too enjoy reading Harry’s analysis of Euro teams and players 👍

No Mack, Kiwi-esque 10: An IRISH and British Lions team to smack Wallabies - and the doctrine Farrell must follow

He’ll spill his guts or his wife will, but only after he tires or is pushed out of his gifted commentary gig.
A very selfish and self serving character. It is only a matter of time.

The brotherhood: Why Warner will be forever silent about Sandpapergate

It was the way they played for almost two decades until Eddie started steering the ship into the icebergs after McQueen.
Dingo had the players to revive it briefly in 2011/2012.
Since then it’s been like watching a homeless person soiling themselves and the good news is, young male players coming through are second rate and in fewer numbers.

COMMENT: Rugby Australia given wake-up call by All Blacks ... AGAIN

Good point – difficult to stand out amongst Khan, Botham, Hadlee. Barely believable they all played the same era.

Sobers probably the best of them all but Keith Miller is one who always fascinated me.

Four sight: Callous critics need to realise 'something special' factor can turn Green into Australia's Jacques Kallis

Don’t forget Neser, absolutely dominated with bat & ball in English county last year.
He should have been given a crack at Headingly instead of a disappointing Boland.

Four sight: Callous critics need to realise 'something special' factor can turn Green into Australia's Jacques Kallis

He could tarnish the baggy green forever, bringing shame on his nation and still receive a full honours send off at the SCG. Hell he can even choose when he wants to retire, even after three pretty miserable seasons.

Pack your suitcase Greeny 👍

Four sight: Callous critics need to realise 'something special' factor can turn Green into Australia's Jacques Kallis

Unless Bancroft starts batting like Bradman and can keep it up for an another full season, I doubt he’ll ever make it back into the test team. Am disgusted with his actions in Capetown but will reserve judgement until we find out how much pressure he was under from Warner.

Haha Ed Cowan made average bowlers look world class. I hated watching him at the crease.
Glad we have better options today than when he was wafting around

'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga

And for good reason.
Very happy for Mitch Marsh. Had a lot of hype surrounding him before his career started and his playful personality made it look like he was squandering talent.
I thought Amazon’s The Test was a great insight into the dressing room and its characters

What a difference a few seasons makes... Mitch Marsh has gone from the most hated in cricket to universally adored

Using spit or sunscreen soaked sweat to shine one side of the ball is something everyone does.
Smuggling concealed sandpaper onto the ground to compromise one side of the ball is not.

A farewell to remember: Warner wows SCG one last time as Aussies polish off Pakistan ... but cap mystery lingers

He’s certainly aggressive but never humble.
Will forever carry the stain of Sandpaper Gate & his test average of 43 is a step down from the greats of Australian cricket

Move into coaching Quade and come back when you have some decent experience. You’re a natural

Quade Cooper rides the road to redemption in Japanese rugby return

England not only a super kind draw but played Boks who had totally emptied the tank a week before vs France
The same could be said about South Africa’s dream draw in 2019. Japan in the QF, a lucky (and ordinary) Wales skidding past a superior French side who were red-carded in the second half.
But the piece de resistance is to quote my Bok friend r.e emptying the tank: which England did in their Semi against the All Blacks. That was the best game of the tournament by a country mile. One which will go down in history. The accidental champions a mere after thought.

Coaching shake-up on England horizon after World Cup disappointment as uncertainty grows over Farrell's captaincy

Give me a break.
Two of the Springbok tries in that QF were the result of lucky bounces from up-and-unders.

Arise Sir Richard Graham

Coaching shake-up on England horizon after World Cup disappointment as uncertainty grows over Farrell's captaincy

Couldn’t be happier for such a honest and respectful lad.
While the classless plebs applaud Davey Warner & Nick Kyrgios, it’s nice to know there is still some decency left in Australian society.

Take away their rugby team & a couple of golfers, they are a failing state & lap dogs of China & Russia.
How sad.

How did Warner’s Father describe ‘Davey’ after SandpaperGate?

'This isn't working' - Pakistan tail wags as Aussie tactics questioned, Albo, Warner's dad whack 'scumbag' baggy green thief

What more do I need to know? He was proven to be the architect of one of the sport’s worst on-field cheating scandals and despised for the majority of his career (globally) for his arrogant and thuggish behaviour. Look at the company he keeps FFS.
You can have him.

'I’ll have a beer with you': Warner invites haters to change their minds as he pulls pin on ODI career

I acknowledge he has been a great player but also a shocking ambassador and role model.
He is a cheat and his on-field behaviour (pre sandpaper gate) at times deplorable.
‘Anointing’ replacement players like he is Sir Alex Ferguson. Just a shocking bloke.

'I’ll have a beer with you': Warner invites haters to change their minds as he pulls pin on ODI career

He won’t do that, it would genuinely be ‘giving back’ which Davey is not about.
Despite his high opinion of himself, he will always be remembered as a cheat who brought shame on his nation.
He scored a few great hundreds (none finer than his first against New Zealand) and was an absolute gun in the field.
He also went missing overseas and failed to step up when we needed him in multiple Ashes tests in England.
Australian cricket fans are good judges of character. Just ask Michael Clarke.

Nah, just telling it how it is.
