Go Budster… for longevity and talent – noone touches you..

Franklin eyes rarest of AFL milestones

Yes, by a long way

Is Lance Franklin the best player of the modern era?

Reminds me of chap called Buckley – who said he was leaving Brisbane for Collingwood as better prospects to win a premiership.

What if Geelong don't win the 2021 premiership?

I think the swans will make finals. But no GF nor premiership this year. Hopefully, Buddy kicks the 1000.

Swans chasing best season start in a decade

and papley..

An open letter to Joe Daniher

Collingwood is paying for a few clubs. Buddy for another two years. Tom Boyd. I hear Ned is also thinking of extending Brodie for another few years.. Collingwood is on fire at present.

You learn little from well-run clubs, same as well-run businesses. You learn the most from your mistakes. Collingwood unravelling before your eyes, with all their failures and shortcomings so public – it is great to watch and learn from. Would your club sack a premiership-winning coach and put in a person who has never won a premiership (never will) and was most famous for being selfish? Probably not anymore.. Would your club sack the games top administrator? For a friendship reunion between Gubby and Eddie.. so they can have some beers together? Probably not anymore… Would you put a 6-7-year-old of mathematical standards in charge of your salary cap? Probably not anymore.. You cant write dozens of good articles about clubs who are generally on the right path.. but they will not have the impact on the mediocre run clubs..

Collingwood need a spill!

As Collingwood is so insular and Eddie still trying to control the ship. Do not expect any real changes anytime soon. But is a pleasure watching mediocrity in a large footy club play out at all levels in such a public manner. A positive is Collingwood should be entitled to JobKeeper for longer than any other sports club.

I think a missing point in the discussion is player unrest. This will create the tipping point or be the catalyst as the bureaucrats are presently too focused on self-preservation. I have heard several players are looking at exploring their options and some decent names.. in them. Once that becomes public Buckley goes and a few more follow..

Collingwood need a spill!

The Collingwood style of play is terrible. Wrong game plan for the players. Though Collingwood has taken over from the focus of Richmond finishing 9th each year. Richmond finishing 9th used to the national past time.. Now we just get to watch really average people run a really average club. Would you take anyone from Collingwood to another club? Scott Pendlebury still? De Goey looking at jail time.. the X factor already traded out for the salary cap. The loyalist kicked out for being a soft target. Players are lining up to leave the club already… glorious to watch mediocrity in action.. Bring Eddie back, sign Buckley for 10 more years..

Where is the dare, Collingwood?

Never write off a champion. Dusty played an average game however was still instrumental for the first half – keeping Tigers in touch. Yep, the tigers were touched up on the weekend. Yep it could be a sign of decline, but the Tigers still make the 8, and they have enough experience and belief to go all the way. The signs were not great for Cotchin and Riewoldt.. both looked slow and old against the younger team.. might have to swap new soldiers in and the Tigers seem to keep plenty kept under the rug.. no sleepless nights yet for tiger fans.

Is this a watershed moment for the Richmond era?

Swans best team to watch in AFL today. The only other comparable is watching Tex at present. Who would have thought – Swans best team to watch, Tex Walker in Ablett/Carey like form.. best player to watch..

Whoever came up with the no moving off the mark, deserves the next statue outside the MCG.

AFL is back.

These young Bloods are the real deal

Went to both the Collingwood/bris game and Richmond/swans game. The big difference for me is game plan. In real simple terms, appreciate not this straightforward. Collingwood has some brutes who are match winners. Swans have light weights with skills who can run. The swans game plans plays to their players strengths – speed and highly skilled. They essentially play an outside running game, keeping off, always running, eyes low. Collingwood plays a game plan that relies on high skill levels.. they fall down all the time as their skills of their bottom 6-7 are not to the standard. They keep moving the ball around looking for options and it breaks down too often. One mistake.. lets the opposition in. I think for Collingwood less sideways movement less reliance on handball skills and more driving into contests straight down down the line, Collingwood have a match-winning team at that level.. Brodie, Cox, De Goey.. Moore.. they will beat nearly every oposition player one on one.. even two on one for some of them.. wrong game plan for the skill level of the team.. watching them chip around until someone invariable makes a mistake is just plain stupid as it happens time and time again.

Collingwood can still have a positive year despite the Lions loss
