You say some silly things but this one really takes the cake, “TV ratings are the only true figures we can count on.”
You do realise a couple of thousand ratings meters spread around the country, run by a company owned in part by the TV stations themselves represent 22 million people.
A show on a secondary chanell ( 7mate, Go etc ) will rate at about 50% of the same show on a primary Channel.
The whole ratings system is quite the joke.

You could also argue that overall Franklins move to Sydney ultimately will benefit GWS, if kids are now playing football in WS due to Franklins popularity then how is that a bad thing, they would still be zoned to GWS.

@ Yewonk, i think in Sydney the aim is to be an alternative and i think everyone is realistic to understand that.
Doesn’t stop the AFL from trying as hard as they can though and they have every right.

The Swans pull a decent Sydney crowd on 7mate of around 70k ATM plus whatever % of Fox.
So when they play in Sydney they get around 30k at the game 70k on FTA and anyones guess on what they get on fox, 40k ?.
