Henry's 'final word' on suspected match-fixing in RWC 2007

Informed opinion. It’s a fairly accepted principle that past performance or behaviour is a good indicator of future behaviors. The fact he walked out on a legal contract suggests he doesn’t place much stock in binding agreements. Hence I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to believe the story of going back to league based on a handshake agreement is utter tripe.

Again I have no issue with it or him. I just like to separate fairy tale from fact. This claim that he doesn’t want to go but must, is ridiculous. He wants BIG Japanese money and to be loved in RL again. Its all about increasing his marketability so when it comes time to negotiate with the NZRU he does so from a position of strength as he has maximum options available to him. It makes good business sense so well done SBW.

but its not just the NRL is it. Its also the mega money in Japan plus boxing. Its unlikely that too much of either would be allowed with the NZRU. Can you explain how he lost his home? Again I have no issue with the bloke doing what he likes and I wish him well. The talk of how he felt compelled to honour a handshake agreement though is utter tripe

that this was an attack on Southern Hemisphere Rugby and its domination of the RWC – really??? I bet your home is wrapped in aluminum foil to protect you from alian invasion too isnt it…..

yes – the ref was against you, everyones against you woe is me!!! I pray you are just baiting and dont honestly believe it. Blame the ref if you want, but to say they are ‘against’ you??? dear lord….

Henry's 'final word' on suspected match-fixing in RWC 2007

you really believe that a man that walked out on a contract suddenly feels the desire to honour a handhake agreement? Please, its all to do with coin. Good luck to him, but lets not make him out to be anything other than a hyper talented mercenary

and here I was thinking that NZ being gifted the last RWC would take the collective chip from the shoulders. Sadly no…. I find it funny that anyone who has a differing opinion on matters rugby than that of an all knowing kiwi is derided as a troll etc.

Mania, its not about comebacks mate. Its about facts. France won, NZ lost. Roles reversed in 2011.

Imagine if R Deans wrote similar sentiments about a game. Oh the howls of protest from NZ would be deafening. The fact you cant see this as simple sour grapes speaks volumes.

right back at ya slick

what happned is the better team won. Get over it

Its pretty simple in that a team not infringing at all playing a team infriging a lot but only being penalised on the worst of them will suffer in all the stats. Is it possible that a team can hold out the might NZ 1st 15 and NOT break the rules??? Surely not. Not against St McCaw and his flying Nuns….. Surely its a fix! You’re all against us I tells ya!!

Ask any other follower of rugby who the most leniently reffed team in int. rugby is and you’ll be told NZ. Henry is less a ex principal and more a petulant child. He put all his eggs in the rwc basketin 07, came up short and is looking to rewrite history and blame anyone but himself.

I was driving past aami at 3/4 time and people were streaming it like the game was over. I had to turn on the radio to check if the game was done or not. The club and their supporters are a disgrace

History? More like Richmond in the making at Port

I guess when you spend your entire career seeing your team do as they please without having to worry about the rules, when they are suddenly held to account it would look suspect.

Yeah it will be Pococks lack of size that holds him back……. I suggest you go to OPSM

Its not about fair, but the perception of fair. Its not that hard to make ref’s neutral and take it out of the discussion, not that I believe refs deliberately favour one side or another.

Sharks easily too good in the end, but the disallowed Gill try did kill off the slender hopes of the Reds. It was good to see that Bray admitted a mistake in that ruling.

There were 15 South Africans more influential than Kaplan

after 10 years of not seeing it and the 99% possibility of not seeing it for another 10 you quickly learn that their are more important things in life.

What's happened to the Bledisloe Cup?

Well done to the sharks. A near perfect 1st half and immense defense in the 2nd. The reds were always going to struggle one Lucas went off. Being left with a teams 3rd string option at 10 made life all but impossible.

Revisiting the South Australian license saga of 1991

so you think a deliberate act of thuggery (a headbutt) is the same as hitting your head on someones knee/thigh because you go hard and fast into a tackle is the same thing? Go back to your ignorant rock. No wonder kiwis cant see anything wrong with Ritchie, they cant differentiate between cheating and playing hard…

Deans says Wallabies in the deep end

its calling it a headbutt I am taking issue with. Maybe read what is written before retorting. A headbutt is a deliberate act to use the head as a weapon and I dont think he does that. He does however get hit in the head due to his kamikaze style. Im not saying its good for him, but to accuse him of headbutting is just plain wrong and stupid.

Deans says Wallabies in the deep end

oh no doubt, but a bit like the aussie no-ball call of Murali it just gets a bit old

Deans says Wallabies in the deep end

headbutts really? maybe ask K Mealamu what a headbutt is then you’ll realise the stupidity of your claims. He does get hit in the head, but its down to the very low height meaning h’es aiming at fast moving legs. Coupled with the speed at which he does it means there is little room for error.

Deans says Wallabies in the deep end

i have no doubt a petulant NZ crowd will react to both player and supprters in the same purile manner
