Crazy Horse is either one of history's greatest warriors, an interesting establishment in Paris or a slightly eccentric Rugby has-been who started in the forwards but finished his serious playing career on the wing. He is also a Motorsport tragic having held CAMS licences in Event Command, General Competition Area and Rally as well as Driving.

Fiji Already had a team in the NRC.

My perfect NRC competition

Here we go again. Someone from Sydney who doesn’t understand that Sydney is no longer the centre of the Rugbyverse and hasn’t been for some time.

“ The rest of Australia unfortunately doesn’t have the club structure of New South Wales or Queensland.”

That is simply not true. WA has a 14 club Premier Grade competition. The best WA clubs would hold their own against any NSW team.

The only significant problem with the NRC was the failure of NSW to engage. Everyone else was happy with it.

My perfect NRC competition

No consideration at all given to club rugby. 4th of September is semi-final day in Perth.

Rugby Australia still hopeful of Perth Bledisloe Test

There is no COVID in the Western Australian Community.

There is 3000 km and a bloody great desert between WA and the outbreak in the east coast.

There are direct flights to Perth from NZ.

The Wallabies got here with no problems and attended club rugby games on Saturday.

AFL teams are in and out of Perth every week.

The Bledisloe bungle: A self-inflicted curse on both our houses

Sydney is no longer the centre of the Rugbyverse and hasn’t been for some time.

Where to next for Aussie club rugby?

Not been to OPTUS for rugby obviously. As anyone who went to last year’s Bledisloe can tell you, it’s a brilliant stadium with a capacity of 65,000 in rectangular mode.

Perth also has the 20,000 seat rectangular stadium HBF Park aka Force field.

Both are state of the art modern facilities.

The Thursday rugby two-up: The Rugby Championship is here (somewhere)

Perth is 3000km from the East Coast and in a different time zone. The idea of sharing a team with any east coast city is just nonsense.

Despite having to rebuild from scratch after the 2017 disgrace, in only two years the Force is competitive and will continue to improve. Unlike the teams you would lump us with, we are financially secure.

Where to next for Aussie club rugby?

On form if any team were to be cut it should be the Waratahs.

This would allow the Sydney based Rugby Australia to focus on the whole country without trying to be a second Rugby NSW.

Consolidate to survive: Five teams must become four if Super Rugby is to survive

Hooper is a good player but not a Captain. There are far better options available.

How many Waratahs will be selected for the Wallabies?

There is no entry charge @ UWA. Anyone can come and watch. These people are developing an interest in Rugby which then flows through to higher levels.

Some things are more important than money.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

That’s for the NRC. 13000 at the last Super Rugby game.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

Don’t the knockers understand that NRC is played AFTER the Super Rugby and Club seasons? When the only players actually playing are Wallabies?

The NRC provides rugby to watch from the end of the regular season until it gets too hot to play. It’s well supported everywhere except NSW.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

He invests heavily in Western Australian Rugby (and many other charities).

Rugby Australia HQ should be moved out of Sydney, probably to the national capital.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

We already have long established teams that would hold their own against anything Sydney could offer.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

On current form the first club to be chopped would be the Waratahs.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

The NRC helped keep the Force alive.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

There are a lot of people in the Rugby Community who are very well off. The states need to tap into that if they haven’t already.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

In Perth NRC is played at the University of WA Sports Park (aka McGillivray) where 5000 people will fit on the famous Hill. No massive “stadium” costs. Catering done using the UWA Rugby Club’s facilities and some food trucks.

The only significant costs are travel and accomodation for interstate games.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

The only significant problem with the NRC is the repeated failure of the NSW rugby community and the Waratahs to take it seriously. The rest of the country did fine. So Sydneysiders either take the NRC seriously or just get out of the way and let the rest of the country get on with it.

While we’d like you to participate, the days of Sydney being the centre of the Australian Rugbyverse are long gone. We can do this with or without you.

The formula is simple. Each state gets one or two teams and fills them however they like. The model most use is Super Rugby players except those on international duties and the most promising Premier Grade players.

The coaches want it, and now it seems RA’s appetite for the NRC might be growing

Hannigan! Seriously?

The Wallabies team I'd pick

GRR isn’t dead, just suspended because of COVID. It is run through the Hong Kong Rugby Union.

Seeing how the idiots at Rugby (East Coast) Australia appear to have abandoned the NRC (again) GRR will be all the more important when international travel allows it to be restarted.

Force boss urges RA to create Asia-Australia comp

That’s exactly what it does. It intentionally stops the momentum of the game.

All teams are now doing it to some extent but the Rebels in particular do it. Watch how fast their “water boys” get on anytime there is a stoppage when they’re on the defensive.

Get your questions in for Issue 13 of Coach's Corner

It does seem that there is an over emphasis on the forwards, even when there are wingers in the clear with no one between them and the try line.

Even when an opposition back gets carded they continue to play bash and crash when Rugby 101 is to create the overlap.

Why the Queensland Reds hit a speed bump in Dunedin

The one position the Tahs do not need “reinforcement” is 7.

Super Hooper could be called back for Waratahs
