Perhaps, as someone posted in another article, The Roar should create a Code Wars tab & you can all duke it out over there.
I’m a soccer fan, and a Victoria, I’m comfortable with the game being called Soccer or Football. I have no interest in the AFL, but I can see no reason why i should hate AFL, it appears all this nonesense is about positioning in the market place to get market share… which is not a good marketing ploy… better to talk up why going to the game is a good day out than why your game is better than someone elses to me.

From reading Itaslianj websites it seemks the presence of Fabio Capello has generated a fiar amount of coverage of England’s side in Italy, but I’m not sure it would usually be the case.

For me the Champions League has become a bit of joke anyway… at least this year one of the teams in the final actually won a title, in the previous year. Bayern Munich didn’t win anything in the 2008-2009 season… its not really a league & its not really champions.. mostly runners – up, with too many games without consequence in the early stages.
The WC is rightly, the pinnacle competition… next year there will be another champions & runners-up league…
Which is bigger: Champions League or World Cup?
I don’t havev foxtel, but I’d still prefer not to see the A-League on SBS.
SBS have devoted so much energy towards its hostility to the A-League, I’m not sure the attitude would change should they become the broadcaster.
I have visions of SBS commentator bemoaning the quality of games during broadcasts ad naseum… hardly the way to build interest in the local competition.

A transfer to Dortmund is probably not likely to be in Mitch’s best interests at this stage, as i doubt he’d get many starts in the Bundesliga.

I’ve been watching this show regularly. Its not exactly riveting, but a nice change of pace from SBS’ constant bashing of the A-League.
Serie A & Bundesliga games are being shown on One, but it seems to be rarely at the times advertised.

The name football is all AFAA to me
Skip are you saying the Socceroos are not Australian enough for you? Must an Australian have a name you can readily pronounce? Perhaps an Anglo-saxon name? or speak with an Australian accent in order to be an Australian?
We are a nation of migrants, the backgrounds of the Socceroos represent this diversity, as would many of the AFL, NRL etc teams out there too.
