Would have liked to see Morris given the nod in the test matches to be honest, but good to see him around the squad
'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga
It gets clicks I guess!
Fear Aamer: Young quick joins legends with six of the best, Smith's farcical delay slammed, Warner's baggy green returned
I’m happy for him, obviously means a lot to him and he justifiably used his platform to try and get it back. No idea why there is so much negativity towards a guy getting a treasured possession back, no matter who it is.
Fear Aamer: Young quick joins legends with six of the best, Smith's farcical delay slammed, Warner's baggy green returned
Ponting said on commentary yesterday that he keeps his in the safe at home, not even on display. Definitely a deeply personal thing for these guys and for anyone to suggest they should get them replaced because it is a little tattered is just yelling at clouds for blocking the sun.

Can we not do this, comparing eras is the silliest form of sports fandom out there
Pat Cummins isn't Dennis Lillee's fast-bowling equal - he's actually much better
I’m guessing we are just at the point that if David Warner said the sky was blue people would lose it, getting a bit ridiculous to be fair

Great comment, I’m all for Usman making this stand, but why is this any different to BLM? Is it simply because only one guy is sending the message, rather then everyone?

I don’t think you’ll find many that will argue that Hayden was not a (much) better batsmen that Warner, and if you do, they aren’t a serious cricket watcher.
Can’t really compare Warner and Johnson, both were fairly inconstant but were capable of top echelon brilliance on their day.
Johnson 'low act' branded 'un-Australian' as Triple M reinstate fast bowler despite Warner brouhaha
You seem to be getting your argument somewhat confused there, having a go at NSW for fawning over their sportspeople and then doing the exact same thing for a QLD sportsmen….
Warner and Johns are not gods in NSW the same way Wally Lewis is revered in QLD, or Warne is revered in Victoria. I believe they are both referred to as KING in their respective home states.
But yes, its NSW that has the issue with overt adoration of their sporting heroes.
For the record Hayden is the third best batsmen I have seen play for my country, behind Ponting and Smith, if that helps alleviate some of the state partisanship.

Are you really struggling to crack the code TB…. 😱

How do Broncos deserve the home grand final when they didn’t even win the minor premiership?

ANALYSIS: Broncos surge into prelim after heartbreaking Papi injury - but were the Panthers the big winners?
If I remember correctly that was the first game Souths had lost in weeks, after which Latrell had been in amazing form.
Strange to pick that time to get annoyed, when they were top of the table…
Churchill's Latrell apology too little, too late with Rabbitohs' season imploding amid ongoing off-field dramas

Definitely, they shouldn’t be at 3 without a doubt, but I do think they are as good a chance as any of the other challengers to Penrith

Its not just current performance though is it, believe it takes into achievements through the year?

They have not, you are correct

Third test in 2013 had some pretty handy day 4 & 5 rain for England.
Believe they needed 300 odd on the last day and were 2 or 3 down, no more than 20 overs were bowled on day 5…

I would add that Bancroft scores at a very low strike rate, with Uzzie already there taking his time, they would want someone in there to put a bit of pressure on the bowlers.
Now, Smith & Renshaw aren’t the guys to do that either, so whereas it may be a factor in Bancroft not being selected, it doesn’t quite explain the alternatives.
Ill throw another thing out there, are we seeing Smith going to opener as a seat warmer this summer while they wait for Pucovski to (hopefully) come through unscathed? Not many would question (even though it was just the 1 test) how settled he looked at that level.
