Cam needs more than a couple of FC games. There are many, especially here on the Roar, that have no understanding of the step up in class to Test from Shield cricket.
Some clown even suggested that Shield was the highest level in Australia ….shows a complete ignorance of high level sport.

Besieged batting duo face moment of truth with Windies setting Aussies tricky target as Marnus slump continues

Worn out…at 23….poor guy

Smith's time is up: Selectors miss golden chance to look to the future with short-sighted leadership decision

Didn’t say he was dropped…
Could have played the Australia A game, could have played BBL….could have played a bit of cricket

Smith's time is up: Selectors miss golden chance to look to the future with short-sighted leadership decision

Green is being mollycoddled way too much. He needs to play much more cricket than he does.
Didn’t they leave him of the recent Tests because of poor form…yet there he was playing water boy (good name for a band)

They mainly came into prominence as a support for the Yes campaign, over the past year or so, I think they look awful, but I don’t like aboriginal art much much either.

'Looked like Chennai': Ponting blasts 'substandard' pitch as rank turner helps Agar to ridiculous figures

Obviously you don’t know what virtue signalling means with that comment

'Looked like Chennai': Ponting blasts 'substandard' pitch as rank turner helps Agar to ridiculous figures

What’s with the virtue signalling shirts that keep getting trotted out in the BBL.
I agree it would good to have an indigenous or three playing in the the IPL, apart from SB, but cricket has rarely been their thing…

Great cricketer, who greatest decision was hiring his current manager, who completely changed 90% of the population’s opinion of him after the SA debacle….sheer and utter genius that bloke.

A farewell to remember: Warner wows SCG one last time as Aussies polish off Pakistan ... but cap mystery lingers

My point was if you were going to experiment, Head is likely to be a better proposition than Green

Giving Green light to opener experiment could work - but that doesn’t mean it’s the right option

Historically, you bat your best at 3, as they get a bit older they drop down a bit.
Green doesn’t fit the bill for 3.
Not sure he fits the bill for opener either.
Travis Head averages 50 in one dayers opening, I would be more inclined to try him

That NSW fast bowling contingent that has been relentlessly mocked by a certain WA bloke with obvious limited understanding of the game, is wonderful. Sure they have some downtime at times, but if one is struggling, another steps up…awesome teamwork

'Cool': Captain Cummins dishes out perfect, one-word response to Pakistani's shock 'better team' claim

The worst part of the decision is that she thought his fingers were under the ball, therefore the catch was fair.
However it is quite clear his fingers were on top of the ball…so her reasoning was completely flawed.

PGA Tour in meltdown as Shark celebrates Masters champ's $900m LIV deal, star accused of hypocrisy

Many decisions he has made over the past 6 months have been weird and downright wrong.
Winning the World Cup may or may not have happened as a result of some of the decisions noted above, sometimes you just get lucky.

McDonald’s serving up humble pie to the critics but selfless coach refuses to dine out on World Cup glory

There is an IPad and iPhone app….i admit to using a web browser….but I am so over the Hammer, I thought we were rid of him….

'Shame on the plodders': Hamish blasts RA 'boneheads' as Harvey Norman deal ends - but founder denies link to axing

If I see another picture of Hammer leading an article I am going to delete the Roar app

'Shame on the plodders': Hamish blasts RA 'boneheads' as Harvey Norman deal ends - but founder denies link to axing

Plenty of blokes to send over to get some Indian experience…should have used the opportunity better….including not sending home Cam Green…what a ridiculous decision on the surface

'Astonishing, hard to fathom': Marnus at a loss to explain rationale behind T20 series straight after World Cup

One of the good things about his exit was taking headline Hamish off the front pages, I wish the Roar would stop talking about him

COMMENT: 'Best interests of the game'? Hamish's dummy spit proves RA was right to cut him loose

I hope he is that once a generation player, I haven’t heard any whispers about what it is they don’t like, but I would love to know

World domination: Selectors can’t afford to be sentimental now Australia's one step away from trophy perfection

I think, at least to me, he doesn’t understand nearly as much as he thinks he does about the game, he got just about everything wrong. He’s avid , he’s passionate, he’s incredibly blinkered, which confuses his thinking, to a ludicrous level

I knew Australia's bunch of 'no-hopers' couldn't win the World Cup, right up until I knew they would

Is Cam Green tired ? At 23 and having played only a couple of times, he’s excused from the T20 games?
WTF, experience in India is priceless….

World domination: Selectors can’t afford to be sentimental now Australia's one step away from trophy perfection

and don’t forget the Fremantle fruitcake telling us all how badly he was bowling with those slow half track cutters, which he said were a complete waste of time…you know the ones that helped crash the run rate and contributed significantly in us winning the game

I knew Australia's bunch of 'no-hopers' couldn't win the World Cup, right up until I knew they would

Whilst I agree with the bulk of what you said, many of the decisions would have been mapped out well in advance, by the coach and senior players.
The decision to field, the constant bowler rotation etc wouldn’t have being Pat alone.
Maxi was orchestrating a lot of the field placements, moving players plugging holes etc.
It was truly a team effort and he was the leader
