Sleepy Joe is a re-purposed and lazy moniker (and regurgitated from Trump, how low).
Schmidt is an incredibly smart rugby thinker. Aus rugby will get more headlines if the Wallabies win not through BS sugar hit short term one liners. Wayne Bennett is not exactly Mr Charisma but he’s quoted because his teams win.
Move on from the coach has to be Bill Mordey. Win Wallabies win. And go Joe go.

COMMENT: In trading Greatest Showman for 'boring' and 'pragmatic' Sleepy Joe, RA gambling with game's future

Self absorbed and self centred. Terrible decisions, always wants the headline. Very un rugby. Donc know who nominated him but they should keep a low profile.

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

What?
Yes, it is a major issue. Paying an untested player at senior level $1m plus a year, has ensured that all the tested and strong performing players (Nawaqanitawase, Petaia, Ikitau, Jorgensen) all want the same salary, and RA can’t pay it. So all it is done is bring a guy over to increase pay expectations. Hammed poked the league bear when it was not needed sbd had no upside.

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

Hamish made the first error, Eddie compounded it.

Yes he did.

Read it and weep: Eddie made Wallabies fans 'eat s--t' for 10 months - here's every bit of BS he uttered

Does anyone know why this press conference was held? Eddie announced on arrival in Sydney last Thursday that he was talking the press this week but was it arranged by RA or Eddie? Seems like has just arranged it to hit the ball back over the net to RA. He clearly has no performance clauses. Would’ve thought “At least QF of RWC » would’ve been in there, and given why they sacked Rennie and hired Eddie, at least SF wouldn’t have been unreasonable.

Eddie Jones says he needs to 'give myself an uppercut' but '100 percent' committed to coaching Wallabies

And Hamish should go first

'Keep thinking about that': Eddie's ONE great regret in WC shambles and sliding doors moment that cost QF place

“I made the decision when I came in, I assessed the playing pool and said we need to make a change. And it was high risk. We catch one kick against Fiji and maybe we’re sitting here already qualified for the quarterfinal,” said Jones.

Shows his colours. Wallabies completely outplayed- Fiji had a better game plan and wanted it more. No Eddie, don’t try to simplify and explain it way like that. And “I made the decision when I came in” ain’t true either. You selected Hooper as co-captain and dumped him a few weeks later, he would’ve been fit for the 2nd match. You also left out Cooper, Ikitau and Samu – all would’ve added experience and value. Too much BS.

Speaking with Japan was not one of the reasons listed for why he has to go.
But doing an interview 7 months into a 5 year contract, just before the RWC, and after how dogmatic he had been about his incoherent selections and predictions to win the RWC, was outrageous.

DENIED (sort of): Jones finally addresses Japan job report but a big question still remains

It doesn’t matter Tony.
He has to go, as does McClennann: key reasons:
1. Terrible results, 1 from 8
2. Big grumpy mouth, makes Aus rugby look stupid
3. Urinal level selection: Cooper, Hooper, Samu & Ikitau should’ve been at RWC. Vunivali, joke, C Gordon not proven. J Kemeny, why?
4. Stop blaming grassroots FFS, we could still be giving this RWC a shake if Rennie was still around.

No point getting Hansen – he’s already shown his biased he is, saying they could’ve selected anyone and got the same results. BS, looking out for his mate,

RWC News: 'Blink rate goes bizarre' - Human lie detector studies Eddie, Hansen wants Brumbies-Rebels merger, Dupont upbeat

MCClennan wanted to viewed as a rainmaker, thinking he’d bring in a maestro that also generates headlines. He was conned, had to pay out Rennie and now a failed RWC campaign and will have to pay out Eddie. He’s signed with Japan from next year.

The best coach according to MCClennan – who didn’t do his diligence. Multiple murmurs from Eng players the last few weeks about how miserable Eng camp was with Eddie, his selections being all him, with his gut. Eng were so down after RWC 2015 anyone could’ve coached them, they had huge motivation and hunger to avenge a poor RWC, they actually had a strong group of players too. His last two years with Eng were urinal and RA signs him for 5 years.

The Wallsbies, under Rennie, with a bunch of injuries, got within 1 point of France and 3 of Ireland. Rennie tried a few players out but il sure the RWC squad selections would’ve been been stronger, more cohesive and better prepared versus Grumpy Eddie’s rabble mixture of inexperienced and untried. McClennan’s fault.

The uncomfortable truth: Whether under Rennie or Jones, the Wallabies just aren't good enough

So no negative comments allowed, only rose tinted farces?
You highlight like the Wallabies should take higher ground as they scored 2 tries to 1 but forget that the first try should’ve been a penalty to Fiji in front of the sticks. All for being constructive but baseless optimism and it’ll be alright ain’t going to cut it. Greater urgency, especially at te breakdown, big men fighting to stay on feet so the support gets there and proving the defence, including the blindside, rather than kicking away possession, and dead, in good attacking positions needs to change. Go the Wallabies

The horror five minutes that put Wallabies' World Cup on life support as Eddie's huge 10 call falls flat

Porecki is an excellent, snd smart player – sure he will do well. But, What’s with smoke and mirrors. If Skelton is not in the trsm photo why is the coaching team carrying on with the charade? What is this amateur hour?

'He'll be superb': Wallabies set to turn to SIXTH captain in 2023 as Skelton misses final run

He must have trained well because there’s not much else to go on from the last 3 months. We’re undercooked and could be in trouble this weekend.

Comment: Eddie Jones has taken risks by naming his big three for Wallabies opener - but he had to

Appreciate your ongoing coverage Christy, but:
– Eddie’s wins with Sth Africa should not be included, he was a consultant not even an assistant coach.
– Ryles link to the Storm and relevance to the Wallabies could not be more tenuous.
Other countries must be laughing at this baseless optimism.
We’re massive underdogs, so we should just acknowledge that and get on with it, not pretend that there’s some indicators that everything will magically lead to 7 wins in a row.

It feels like a winning culture: Why Wallabies are bullish ahead of World Cup, Eddie sweats on injured stars

Vunivali has been foxing this whole time?

The Wrap: Is Eddie Jones playing the role of Keyser Soze or Frank Drebin?

“appear comfortable”, who are you referring to? No way are people I know or myself comfortable. Eddie feeds a line that he has been brought back in to prepare for the RWC. That’s his line or Ham’s. We want consistency and wins from the Wallabies. We ain’t winning the RWC despite Eddie’s big mouthing. No team has turned up to a RWC after a 38% win rate in the previous 4 years (less now in the 2nd EJ era) and won. You don’t just lose multiple matches and say we are gonna win and it happens. The 4 year cycle is the biggest cop out ever for a coach. EJ used it in the Eng post and he is still banging the drum. He talked big before the Melb Bled Cup and we got flogged. Shut up, prep the team, and go for silverware. If you don’t deliver anything in the next 18 months, move on.

Wallabies fans appear comfortable with 0 and 4 – but some obvious questions remain

Don’t sacrifice anyone, add as ´any as you need, more people watch schoolboy rugby than SR

Studs and duds: 'Can't do that in Tests' - Tate flaw exposed, Hooper divides opinion, 'absolutely incredible' Angus

Maybe he sees what I see. Appointing EJ has led to a crisis in coaching talent in Aus. McKellar is gone, Larkham (and others) see that he has no path to Wallabies head coach role in next 5 years, EJ appoints guys with no rugby experience (Hodgson) in key roles and frankly Lord and probably lots of others are very unhappy. Why wouldn’t you be? Great coaching pathways being built in Aus rugby when someone like Tallis rag doll gets appointed like this!!!

'Inappropriate': Eddie puts Laurie in his place over Wallaby criticism, explains Quade battle, gives Hoops, TT update

Didn’t you read mate, possession rugby is dead. Just ask Ireland number #1 ranked team, that keeps it, drives it forward, moves it, and scores tries after multiple phases. And beat NZ in NZ. But apparently it’s dead. EJ knows mate. Kick it to em, given them 65% of the ball, no innovative kicking, no chase, no tackle! FFS when I played I preferred to have the ball not tackle or chase all day. What a mess RA and EJ have created.

He was an inappropriate appointment. Laughable.
