As long suffering Knicks fan, I’m nervously enjoying what I’m seeing. The trades were good and beefed up the bench quite a bit. If they can stay injury free post AS weekend, they could go quite far

Minor trades at deadline can make major difference in playoffs but teams will regret moves that didn’t happen

I would’ve paid a lot of money to see a live feed of Toto’s face when it was confirmed.

Will Lewis Hamilton's shock move to Ferrari strengthen his legacy... or tarnish it?

Remember whey Paine was the nice guy saviour of Aus cricket? He seems a flat out banker now.
Healy was half correct imo. Nothing wrong praising the opposition on their victory but I didn’t hear much from Pat about their own performance.

‘Why are you barracking against your team?’ Old keepers up in arms over Gilly cheering Windies and Cummins too nice

Anyone put up the bat-signal for Twiggy yet?

CONFIRMED: Rebels fall into voluntary administration as Rugby Australia seeks 'sustainable and successful future'

Kayo might be expensive but it’s worth it for no ads, extra coverage and I can switch straight over to the Eng v Ind.
And no JL.

Shamar's a superstar: Windies rookie destroys Australia with all-time great spell to break 27-year drought in cliffhanger

I don’t think Bailey gets a say….

Aussies face huge call over batting experiment with Smith and Green failing again as Windies turn Test on its head

Why the date won’t change, it’ll be political disaster:

'Choose a better date': Cummins wants Australia Day moved as CA chief sledged for 'bizarre' trainwreck interview

While I completely agree that the big 3 need to play tests against all nations, all the others need to lift their game too. You can schedule as many tests as you want by if players from lesser countries choose the T20 circuit, it won’t mean anything but even more one sided tests.

My answer is a proper 2 tier test system, with promotion and relagation, heavily funded by the ICC. Big monetary incentives to host and win tests. I know it’s not that simple but something drastic has to happen other we’ll end up with another World Series situation, except it’ll be back by Saudis.

Australia play nearly half their Tests against England and India - to save the game, that needs to change

Only had 3 days notice to get tickets after loss to sixers on Wed.
Because CA couldn’t organise a party in a brewery.

'Said we were a stack of dominos': Perth disrespect leads to sweet Strikers revenge as spin twins skittle Scorchers

I’m looking forward to this more than the Aus v WI series.
India might want to think twice about rolling out their usual Bunsen burners on Day 1. If Eng win the toss and go crazy against the new ball in best batting conditions, that could decide the tests immediately.

Bazball heads to India: Can England still swing away, or will the spinners strike back?

LIV Tennis incoming?

'Playing in a nightclub': Frenchman hits out at new Aus Open invention after 'drunk' fans disrupt first-round clash

I’m a huge fan of Green but he was dropped from the test team for poor form and has done absolutely nothing since.
Plenty of our greats were dropped early in their career but go back to domestic cricket, dominate and come back. Green has essentially been given a free ride back in the team without proving his form has turned around.

Four sight: Callous critics need to realise 'something special' factor can turn Green into Australia's Jacques Kallis

They can’t play too many WA players because their state team would probably still win the tournament

Selectors axe star trio from ODI squad but 'door is certainly not closed' despite younger options getting the nod

Maybe we’ll actually get a competitive test series then??

'Best six batters in the country': Smith will open and Green returns as Bailey denies Bancroft rift over Sandpaper saga

And they’ve apparently bought Renshaw into the squad.
Time for Bancroft to release his book first.

Smith's shock opener switch all but locked in as 'perfect scenario' looms with Green back to middle order

The only media ‘pundit’ that agreed with Smith opening was Michael Clarke, that’s how ridiculous this is.

Smith's shock opener switch all but locked in as 'perfect scenario' looms with Green back to middle order

I agree along these lines. Either Bancroft or Renshaw to open, I don’t mind.
If Green isn’t playing, he needs to be released for Shield cricket. His confidence took a hit in Eng and he should go back to WA, bat at 4 and pile on the runs.

Warner calling for Harris was just embarrassing.

Grit happens: Bancroft denies tension with fast bowlers over Sandpapergate residue - 'it wouldn't be an issue'

Talking like a man who knows he’s getting shafted.
2018 isn’t dead yet, Warner has his book coming and Bancroft will tell his full story in the coming years (or sooner if he knows his test career is over)
A lot of legacies are going to get burnt.

Having a man-look for your baggy green? A+
Apparently it was found ‘somewhere in the hotel’ but we’re not getting any details 😂

The Liebke Report Card: 'Weird that Marnus let Warner borrow his 'luckiest batter in the world' gig'

Wear a blue cap.
Everyone is scared about Warner doing a tell all after he retires but I reckon Bancroft could really hurt some legacies with his side of the story too.

'Happy to go up the top': Smith's surprise call on Warner replacement suggestion, opening Green door for recall

Isn’t LeBron waiting for the new licences to be announced so he can build a team with his son??
I know LeBron hating is in vogue but I thought this was the well known plan?

NBA trade season tips off early - Lakers must make huge move or LeBron’s itchy feet could flare up again

Yeah, test cricket is the least of their problems as a country.

'Can see the entire XI changing for the next Test': South Africa skittled for 96-year low, India lose 6-0 on day of disaster

So he doesn’t want to play anymore ODIs to chase the T20, no problems with that.
But don’t go saying you’d still be available for the Champions Trophy in 2 yrs time. CA and Pat should tell him you’re either in or out, you don’t get to choose on your own terms.

'I’ll have a beer with you': Warner invites haters to change their minds as he pulls pin on ODI career

I think his technique means he’s heavily relied on his eye but when you start getting into the twilight of your career it’s the first thing to go.
So his technique isn’t holding up as much now.

Warner nominates surprise option to replace him at opener as Pakistan again let Aussies slip through their fingers

I watched a fair bit yesterday. There was some bizarre tactics and decision making going on. I don’t think they were tactically prepared at all.
