Deano's diatribe

The power of the storms hitting parts of Australia seems tame as I deal with a massive man-flu, which could easily take down a…

but there are far superior drinks carriers. mitch marsh is there for a reason, you know. but seriously, paine is only a stand in captain and hardly irreplaceable.

VOTE: Pick your Australian 2019 Ashes XI

back to smith i reckon.

VOTE: Pick your Australian 2019 Ashes XI

no, i’d play wade as a bat at 6 and carey as keeper and bat at 7.

VOTE: Pick your Australian 2019 Ashes XI

needs an option without paine. lovely bloke, but offers nothing to the side.

VOTE: Pick your Australian 2019 Ashes XI

the supposedly “B” australia team just bowled out the “A” team for 105. they could swap places tomorrow and it would make no difference.

Five Ashes spots up for grabs tomorrow

surely the all conquering kayo will stream it?

REVEALED: The XI you voted for in last week's schoolyard pick-a-team

in this strange ol’ season, every single team has been incredibly inconsistent.

2019 AFL season: Round 18 preview

syncing sounds easy, but with media being as ridiculously convoluted as it is, it is next to impossible. unless you don’t mind brayshaw screaming like a school girl 10 seconds before his second nephew removed manages a handball.

Time to let the old ways die

i am honestly stunned that anybody enjoys brayshaw’s commentary.
and one thing i’d like to add, i think every sport needs commentators and media who haven’t played the game. it sounds weird at first, but ex-players are more likely to ignore negative news or avoid speaking hurtful truths, particularly about their club. afl media has become a bit too cosy for mine.

Time to let the old ways die

great contest, but mitch marsh is all time best drink carrier for mine.

Mitch Starc may retire as Australia's greatest ever ODI bowler

good comment jeff. sadly, when i submit something, it takes 3 or 4 days to get a reply and by then, the topic has moved on or passed.

Mitch Starc may retire as Australia's greatest ever ODI bowler

same as the security, the people doing the job aren’t up to it.

How do the AFL keep getting the score review so wrong?

i am hoping it’ll lead to your considerable skills being better utilized, glenn.

Mitch Starc may retire as Australia's greatest ever ODI bowler

with all due respect, i don’t think anybody, player or onlooker, cares who the greatest ODI bowler, batter or drinks carrier is at all.

Mitch Starc may retire as Australia's greatest ever ODI bowler

great stuff, dan. i am actually curious enough to unblock shane warne on twitter now.

The Liebke Ratings: Australia vs New Zealand

buddy, still as valuable as ever? bwaa haaa haaa. buddy did a hammy after resting on the bench too long. you’d think after all the resting practice he does he would be used to it, but no, bud’s off to work on his fashion design for another month or two. that’s something he definitely needs more practice at.

Buddy, Roughy, still valuable as ever

i like a good conspiracy theory every now and then.

Gillon McLachlan's press conference was an abject failure in providing clarity to the fans

they’ve been bad at their job for a few years, but now it is even worse, hence the extra attention.

Gillon McLachlan's press conference was an abject failure in providing clarity to the fans

another tough round. i am still alive in the afl.com gauntlet, and have gone with swans, without much confidence.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 14

sorry les, you’ve missed the mark here mate. gambling is a billion dollar industry and as soon as a person in the sports world gets involved, it opens the door to corruption, cheating and other crimes. there must be zero tolerance for players being involved in any way with gambling.

Ten weeks for Jaidyn Stephenson? You've got to be kidding, AFL!

i simply cannot agree. “processes” in a BS cop out. kennett said the people being paid to do a job aren’t very good at it. that is demonstrably true. kennett said maybe that’s because they aren’t born and raised in australia around footy. that may also be true. so again i say, stick to the facts, not your waffle.

Gillon McLachlan's press conference was an abject failure in providing clarity to the fans

i can’t agree with you. the judgement wasn’t made on skin colour. it was made by the obvious lack of understanding of their workplace. in any workplace, the staff have to have a good understanding of the environment they are working in. it is clear that the people working security now, simply do not. it isn’t BECAUSE they are from overseas, but that may be a factor. and it would be easy to check, so i think we should let the facts speak for themselves.

Gillon McLachlan's press conference was an abject failure in providing clarity to the fans

comments defending the security are laughable. the match ground is officiated by umpires only. security are there to protect that area from outsiders and/or intervene in off-field trouble. jeff kennett is, sadly, on the money. people are being employed with insufficient knowledge of the environment they’re working in.

Security guard attempts to break up fight between two players

the first booing i recall was at an eagles game, after goodes did something nasty off the ball. it was late in the game and he got booed til the end. after that, it sadly became something different i think, but originally, he just got booed like every player does after poor sportmanship.

A novice's response to the Adam Goodes debate

you two can start a club, coz you’ve obviously done the same. try reading slowly, out loud maybe.
