Close match here tonight. Both teams have shown intensity, even if the skill level has been a bit sloppy at times. Daniher has taken some good grabs and looks like he could kick a few. Essendon is taking it through the middle well but need to be a bit more clean. Chapman has had a couple of fumbles and Baguley has given away a couple of free kicks in defence. Lobb looks like a decent talent for the Giants.

Sydney just too classy all night. Brisbane showed good intensity in patches, especially in the second quarter, but the Swans had too many dominant ball-winners. Kennedy, Jack, McVeigh and Hannebery all picked up possessions at will while Lloyd worked hard all game. Brisbane played a very young side and clearly missed Merrett’s leadership down back after making several errors. Jonathan Brown may not be at his sprightly best but the Lions need him to return to provide another target up forward.
