No it’s not.

No…about footy.

With their defence and a trade steal firing, the Cats lead the ladder. The next three weeks will tell us if they really deserve to

Oh, come on Rowdy! Maturity is your long suit?

I am enjoying this. If left alone, people will start to think Carlton outplayed Freo in that game and refer to it as a win.

Nothing compels you to read it, but if people keep responding to me about it, my line of thinking isn’t changing and I’ll just respond as I do. It’s not me raising the point. kraM and you are raising it on this thread…I’ll pounce on the opportunity to keep it alive.

Six Points: Greene lucky to only get a week, 2024's two best wins, and the moment that sums up woeful Roos

What are the two theses, according to you?

My comment was about the effusive praise for Henry in the context of denigration of the young Freo keys. Henry has been in the system a lot longer. You needn’t seek Cam Rose’s permission to extend a conversation about footy. His articles are written to stimulate conversation…not restrict it.

I know when you get into these moods, you are fully myopic…but we were talking about Ollie Henry.

So Charlie has kicked 20 goals in 6 games…and you think that’s 4 goals a game while quibbling about 0.2 goals a game for Treacy?

With their defence and a trade steal firing, the Cats lead the ladder. The next three weeks will tell us if they really deserve to

It doesn’t make that point at all. It acknowledges mine as correct.

Of course, not the kind of work by which we judge their effectiveness.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

You know he only played 4 minutes last week. S0, that’s 5 games, 10 goals.

Do you think that one point a week for Treacy makes a powerful point?

With their defence and a trade steal firing, the Cats lead the ladder. The next three weeks will tell us if they really deserve to

Do you? I wonder if anyone has ever heard that term before you just made it up.

They are one of the sides in the AFL. Why omit them. I comment because, without me, there is no comment at all.

Really strange that you should think Freo is a taboo subject. Why, Damo? I notice even an editor of the Roar ‘liked’ that comment. That says it all.

With their defence and a trade steal firing, the Cats lead the ladder. The next three weeks will tell us if they really deserve to

So why use that week? Is it a one week season for you? Are you aware Amiss was off the field after 4 minutes?

And our first home game in 4 weeks. I think our midfield bats quite a bit deeper and Bevo is a little confused about who should be in his midfield.

Until last week, I’d have said our side is quite bullet-proof. Having had a some time back at home now…and with a 50,000 home crowd for the first time in 4 weeks, I’m expecting better.

If both teams play as they can, Freo wins. You guys are one of our bogey sides.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

It’s interesting that Ollie Henry at “2 goals a game” is terrific but Freo’s young keys, Amiss and Treacy, also “2 goals a game” get spoken about as weak, underwhelming, “no forwards”.

Freo would have won both the Port game and won the Carlton game by even more if Darcy had played. Jackson is too small to win rucks so Freo had to win the ball back in both those games. While we won almost all clearances in both those games, it was done in a scramble. First use gives us a burst forward…an advantage Freo’s forwards haven’t had.

Last week was just the culmination of too long without a home game, 3 main forwards out and the best team we have played this year.

The Len Hall game at Freo is such a magnificent tribute each year. Keep the Len Hall game over here.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions, Anzac Round: Who takes the biscuits on the season's longest weekend?

Port, Freo and Gold Coast the only home teams to win.
3 most interesting games are Carlton v Cats, GC v WC and Freo v Doggies.
I thought the Blues would be top 4 this year and that Cats in transition would be in that scramble for the 8. Carlton with its consecutive losses to Freo (c’mon troops, we know what happened) and the lowly Crows makes me doubt them. If they can’t dismiss the Cats, they will be back in the pack for the season.
WC can beat GC but GC should be a top tier side. It’s problem is a coach who has taken a cushy pre-superannuation job and may not be doing it for the right reasons. Simmo is working at improvement and is shining compared to AFL darlings, Hardwick, Clarkson and Mitchell.
The Freo/Doggies game will turn on the rucks. Darcy v AA, Tim English. Last year these teams played twice (rounds 5 and 16). In both games, Darcy had over 50 hitouts…50!!). English is scared of Darcy. Darcy also racked them up around the ground.

“Hogan’s hit that caught the Blue in the fact during GWS’ loss on Saturday was deemed to have been of insufficient force to constitute a reportable offence…”
He hit him in the “fact”? That’s never punishable. The way folk use stats on this site, it’s little wonder a strike in the “fact” is considered OK.

Mixed news for Giants as Greene, Hogan Tribunal verdicts revealed

Why? I’m fine raising it every chance I get.
No skin off my nose, none off yours. If you don’t like it, nothing compels you to read it. If you have transferred your allegiance to Carlton, enjoy being annoyed…or ashamed.

Hardwick should get a 2 week ban for pre-empting leading the tribunal

B gender, C gender, D gender…

And…they have an A-genda.

At least if you are unavailable for a game, you’d still be available.

In a Cosmo Kramer sense.

AFL News: 'Shame for our game' - legend unloads on Greene ban, 'world's gone mad' as skinfold tests punted

Hence, we butcher the grammar of our language. The singular ‘he’ or ‘she’ becomes the plural, but gender neutral, ‘they’.
Yuck.

AFL News: 'Shame for our game' - legend unloads on Greene ban, 'world's gone mad' as skinfold tests punted

Not the point. They are not the club crippling injuries that West Coast and, before that, Freo have had. The insertion of “poor Carlton” into that issue is ridiculous…hence the ridicule.

McGovern is pure borderline AFL level.
