Scott I have been reading the roar for the last 6 years, out of all the authors there are only a handful of I will read religiously. Playing rugby for 5 years helped me enjoy the game to watch on one level, but the main reason I come to the roar is to enjoy the game on a different level. The analysis you bring to the table has really helped me to re-watch the game to get a better understanding.

I can say in my time of reading the roar I have only commented four/five times as I feel that unless I have something useful to contribute to the discussion I don’t want to just make up the comment counter. That said we need people to comment and if everyone was like me there would not be much to read.

I do agree with the red and blue rivalry being one that is so draining to listen to and have to scroll through before we get some useful comments, can we at least leave that for super rugby and not condemn players in the camp because of what state they play for or where they are from. I support the western force but like to look past that and look to enjoy the Wallabies play and not care what jersey they wear for the other half of the year, just base it on performance.

Scott thanks a million for the articles you have taken the time to write and I know much time has been put into it with such depth. All the best for the future mate!

FAREWELL ROAR: Bickering a symptom of troubled times

Wallabies vs England: International Test live scores, blog

Was star struck last year I was in Cancun at the shops and did a double take SHANE WILLIAMS!! Had to get a photo with this legend, the girl friend thought I was crazy….yeah more like crazy not to! I really like Shane good bloke so fast an elusive.
Hope he has a blinder, Go the Brumbies though!

Shane Williams ready to face Brumbies

I played Rugby in high school at Aquinas College, played with Zack Holmes (same age) and watched Kyle play 2 years below me. Both are great blokes.
Its great to see these two guys will be playing along side each other next year, I hope like mentioned above this is a way to attract more boys from Perth to play along side these guys. Playing with Zack I always thought he would make the wallabies, funny to see Kyle will probably get his opportunity first.

GO THE FORCE!!

Kyle Godwin and the future of the Force

I’m not to concerned about his omission, I thought he played well last night though.

For Robbie sake (who I do support) I hope Quades mate O’connor plays a solid game. I just think we will lack those long flat accurate passes that Quade can offer.

Either way I will be supporting whoever runs on the field on the day!

Deans confirms no spot for Quade Cooper

Agree Pete, although I don’t mind him deciding after the Lions test series. If he is the best we have at the moment I say use him.
Would be a different story if he had already committed to NRL, but hopefully he is keen enough to stay.

If he chooses NRL I dont think he should be playing with the wallabies come the RC or EOYT.

Would like him to stay though.

Deans hopes rugby success will sway Folau

He has really done a good job to make his value go through the roof. Comes to rugby not knowing how well he will adapt comes. Very well!! (depending on who you ask).

Gets offered a place in a wallabies tour that happens once in 12 years highest honors with a world cup. Imagine what kind of money NRL will throw at him to come back.
Bragging rights come with poaching a player that played…well still to play but seems likely in the Lions tour. Not too sure if bragging rights is the right words but you know what i mean.

Now I don’t know how much more $$$ that makes him worth but a couple I would imagine.

I for one hopes he stays not for the money, well that will be a factor, but I hope he plays for the Wallabies 100% committed or not at all.

Izzy, you’d be better off in rugby

“There are no certainties in sport but it would be a shock of seismic proportions if Richie McCaw and his men do not break the 17-test winning sequence on their end-of-the-year tour after equalling it against the pitiful Wallabies in ten days time.”

Good thing he said that there are no certanties in sport…

The Wallabies and the All Blacks each blow a miracle win
