“I have grown out of adults playing dress up”
Presumably no actors are wearing their own clothes in any movie. You’re so mature, you probably watch movies where they wear no clothes.

Is coaching Gold Coast a good job?

That’s might be acceptable for London FC . Do Australian teams need play a game in Australia one week, then travel to London to play a game during the next week, play a game, then come back to Australia to play the following week? That sounds awkward.

The AFL needs a London Football Club

You don’t think he has issues?

I get the sense that those organisations might lean towards a particular side of politics that Geoff and the majority of his supporters here today are okay with. It’s only bringing politics into sport if you’re bringing in the side that is Left over when you remove the Right thinking people.

The Wrap: Essendon and Manly debacles an opportune reminder for rugby to focus on its core values

Are the certain ethnicity and the religion related in some way? Is the certain ethnicity thing relevant?

– SO MUCH COMMENT DELETED –

Hypocrisy. Yes, let’s set that aside.

Who Is The AFL’s Hardest To Replace Player? My first thought was, yeah, he’d go very close to #1 on THAT list. Then I thought, how about team by team? Is he Geelong’s hardest to replace player? He’d be very close, but if you had to lose either Blitz or Jez, who are you choosing? You’re looking down the barrel at replacing Mark Blicavs in the near future anyway, surely? So many questions, I might be Parklane.

Who is the AFL's most valuable player?

I think Sean Darcy has to be the ruckman [exception] that proves the rule amongst the Most Valuable or Most Tradeable Players. Max Gawn has probably reached [and maybe just passed] his peak, Brodie Grundy is doing who knows what [IMHO the Stinky Magpies should have made his 7 year contract VERY performance based, or found some other way to dangle a carrot], whereas Sean Darcy is only just showing us what he’s going to be. Having a floating Luke Jackson isn’t going to hurt Sean Darcy’s game, it’s going to enhance it.

If I want to sit on the fence and not commit at all, as much as I like Weitering, I’ll sit Darcy there. If I be honest, I might bump everyone from Harry McKay down [though I do have other issues with the list, I’m not arguing 1 & 2].

I can’t agree that Nat Fyfe sits in the Top 20 of this particular list, even with its loose framework. He’s just not tradeable.

Who is the AFL's most valuable player?

Concur. If the people who want to point at Hird and say “Why didn’t he object to the drugs saga?” think Don Pyke would stand up, they’ll be disappointed. I think the role he is in suits him perfectly.

Dear Essendon: Please, PLEASE, make James Hird your coach again. Sincerely, everyone

Agree completely. My point is that it IS the VFL, more thought should have gone in at the start to adding depth teams from SA and WA. Manufacturing teams at the expense of existing strong teams in those states was a mistake, as was leaving too many Melbourne clubs. The circumstances around shifting South Melbourne and folding Fitzroy were a felix culpa as much as anything.

2022 AFL preliminary finals preview: Can the Cats and Pies keep Victoria's flag hopes alive?

What Victorian protests to the contrary? It is the VFL with a couple of blow-ins added (tolerance varies). As for them winning, I’m only concerned with one team winning.

Isn’t this the level where fitness is most critical, where the smallest edge gives you the win? There are any number of examples of clubs seeking that edge, Burgess is definitely a man in demand for a reason.

Melbourne crash and burn, to be left in no man's land

Jim just answered all those questions on why Southport weren’t the expansion club. Much harder for Gil to control, and how poor would GWS look if Southport came in already competitive.

AFL News: Selwoods share 'miracle' baby news, standalone Sharks on the verge of VFL history

I wish I had the required focus to trawl through Essendon Mad Monday footage, I’m bound to find at least one shot of a drunk player from Lloyd’s playing days. Then again, back in the day, we didn’t have the sustained spotlight we have now, the access to immediately put everything on the internet, and perhaps we also had the common sense or decency not to take photos of things we wouldn’t want the world to see. All the same, Lloyd is being a hypocritical wowser on this one.

Can we? How awesome would that be!! Can we somehow get him to present it as well?

To be fair, you all walked into that.

You lost your credibility at 11:45am, saying the Colliwobble supporters support chicken wings. You’re to be ignored henceforth, at least in this conversation. Far too one-eyed.

AFL News: 'Mob of perennial sooks' - Danger blasted for Ginnivan 'chicken wing' accusation, Giant requests trade

Hard to make an argument for a group of hypocrites without listing the group. That’s not whataboutism. Furthermore, the act of hypocrisy would require a previous act or acts to compare it to, so again not whataboutism. For example: what about when Selwood put Ginnivan in a headlock and strangled him? What about earlier in the game when Dangerfield himself laid a dangerous tackle? Where was the very public voice of the AFLPA players representative on those actions? See, not whataboutism, it is a reference to the hypocrisy of calling out the one action and not the other.

The win has extended much-loved club veteran David Mundy’s career by at least one more game, and there is nothing the Dockers would love than to send him out with a long-awaited premiership ring which would be the crowning moment of a long and distinguished career.

If true, does it mean Sydney may owe part of their sustained success to a lie? If they never needed COLA because top level footy players don’t care about the cost of lifestyle, whatever you do, don’t tell Eddie.

From the previous answer and your non-answer the left turn was you not liking the discussion being about Fyfe kicking out on the full and trying to make it about Bolton. Confusion sorted.
