I was playing at the same club (Uni of N.S.W.) as a colt when Poido was picked for the 1980 Fiji test.
It meant a lot to us as kids to look up to Wallaby from our own ranks. I guess he was our clubs rock star.

I believe all available players from the Wallables, Australia A and fringe player should be in training camp from now untill the Rugby Championship. They need to know each other and bond as a team. Players need to earn their position on the team from their skill and ability to play as a team and not from where they come from. Too many times a player will run with the ball and not pass it like they don’t like the player beside them or pass when they shouldn’t!
No player should feel safe with their place in the team. Not even the captain!

I agree the replacement halfback should be Tate McDemott. The trouble is that he pays for the Reds and not the Tahs! JOC and MH are past their used by dates. With 1 year away from the World Cup we should be getting the younger players ready.
