Well said MarkfromCroydon, couldn’t agree more. Many sports fan don’t realise that we are one of a few nations that has four professional football codes operating in a small market of 23 million all vying for commercial air time, sponsorship and attendances. The FFA have established a strong A-League foundation that allows them to further develop the game.

I think your mistaken in calling the Athens Olympics the worst ever, there was actually several apologies from the worlds press and universal praise after the event. The fact that its crippled the country is another story. Atlanta 1996 has been regarded as one of the ‘poorly organised’ Olympics. The IOC however needs to take responsibility in awarding the games to cities they know full well just aren’t up to it.

Definitely need to stop the oppositions run on, we can’t get 30-40 points up and be worried about losing. Not sure if its a fitness issue or the coaching staff not being able to make appropriate moves.

Love the concept, it would certainly add a level of excitement and anticipation, however as pointed out difficult to execute. As Mark mentioned the classic ‘around the grounds’ would be alive and well as would Saturday nights Seven’s Big League! followed up by the AFL announcing the first weeks of the finals schedule.
