???????? not bad indeed….although we have an increasing number of Xbox mountain men here too…I’ve found the crap weather helps to drive resilience, the adversity is embraced on the park (or in the mountains, etc).

The insurmountable problem facing Australian rugby in a doomed rivalry with New Zealand

It was a legal tackle though. We are allowing everyone except the players and the coaches to make over judicious rules in the name of “safety”, but no body asked for it. Rugby is simply protecting themselves against liability for injuries. The players accept the risk, it’s not for everyone, but these tough blokes are ok with it. The article is right, there is a day of reckoning coming, no risk = no rugby

The Wrap: Rebels young gun rockets out of Wallabies contention, and why Samipeni Finau's 'brutal' hit on Edmed was fair game

One of the only time I’ll agree with Sor John Kirwan…but we should be celebrating Sami’s physicality and how he tackles. Not the hit where he was penalised, but the other 3 legitimate tackles. Physicality is one of the key aspects of the game fans like. Heck that’s fair play all day in the NRL.

The Wrap: Rebels young gun rockets out of Wallabies contention, and why Samipeni Finau's 'brutal' hit on Edmed was fair game

There is no rugby without risk of concussion. Full elimination of that risk means no game as we know it. So where is the line between acceptable risk and unacceptable?

DMac injured ahead of Brumbies clash, smart mouthguard leaves All Black's mouth agape as he's hooked at crucial moment

On one hand it’s great to see my Saders won’t be as easy to beat as some were hoping in this new era….on the other, can’t help but feel the mouthgard HIA thing is another overly judicious effort by WR to complicate the game and keep us talking about everything other than rugby.

DMac injured ahead of Brumbies clash, smart mouthguard leaves All Black's mouth agape as he's hooked at crucial moment

I agree Vaii is average, I’d love to be proved wrong but he doesn’t quite fit the big, bruising forward mould that is now crucial in the game. Robertson has a nack of selecting no name forwards and turning them into world beaters

Rugby News: Raiwalui to step away from coaching as new role confirmed, Razor won't rush call on All Blacks captain

“New Zealand Rugby will welcome the outcome of a leadership change after having a hostile relationship with McLennan”’

That’s true…but NZR are unlikely to welcome another decade of one sided super rugby games while Auz rebuild.

'What a shame': McLennan GONE as Rugby Australia name World Cup-winner chairman to bookend wild year

I agree…it’s probably in the ABs best interests to be looking around like SA did. But man all that history and tradition being lost would be a shame.

Exclusive: Embattled chair asks for extension, Rugby Australia meet AGAIN as civil war breaks out

Would be an awful scenario all’s round really

Exclusive: Embattled chair asks for extension, Rugby Australia meet AGAIN as civil war breaks out

NZR have the future of the ABs front of mind atm. They are concerned player development is not being served as well as it could in super rugby….i wouldn’t put it past them to rapidly reconfigure things if things don’t stabilise with Rugby Aus.

Exclusive: Embattled chair asks for extension, Rugby Australia meet AGAIN as civil war breaks out

In all seriousness, how close is Auz rugby to complete collapse? It looks like that from afar but I’m not close to the action.

Gosh I hope NZ rugby is seriously thinking hard about what it will do re super rugby if this carries on.

Exclusive: Embattled chair asks for extension, Rugby Australia meet AGAIN as civil war breaks out

I read that and was somewhat astounded….the hubris of it all…in hindsight of course

Rugby News: World Rugby warns Kiwis' over 'robbery' whine, Barnes hits back at ABs, damning report into 'toxic' culture

Look we lost and that is that. Can’t change it, but why the heck did the TMO not know one of the basic rules of their role? I can understand inconsistency around the ruck and other technical Grey areas, but the 2 Ruck statute of limitations is pretty clear cut. I’d be annoyed for South Africa if the shoe was on the other foot.

I hope Tupou gave Carter a call before or after the interview geeze

'An experienced 10 would have helped': Wallabies open up on on failed World Cup they'll have to 'live with'

Just think. If they had played in the WC then Jones might still be coach. So the glass is half full.

Eddie's painful reminder of what might have been at World Cup as big name Wallabies star despite Baabaas defeat

Bang on Spiro…I don’t want to take away from the Boks victory. They are magnificent. But of a copy and paste of this article would be written in South African papers if the shoe was on the other foot.

SPIRO ZAVOS: 'Crazy brave' Boks are a team for the ages - but key decisions cleared their path to glory

I’m a big fan of the league system of being put on report. Deal with high shots etc after the game. Give a captains challenge so teams can question any howlers if need be. That doesn’t solve the overly complicated, judicious rule book but it’s a start.

Did over-regulation suck the life out of the Rugby World Cup?

When the red and yellow car system was introduced, the circumstances and offences they were issued for were rare. Games weren’t frequently disrupted by them and they were reserved for egregious offending. Now we have a gazillion more laws and the threshold for a card is much lower and offences much more minor. So now we have to endure cards handed out like candy. Either the sanction needs to change, the laws, or both. Because it is in my view ruining our game.

Did over-regulation suck the life out of the Rugby World Cup?

Agree, the intent to protect the head is right. But ultimately there will always be contact with the head because humans are unable to adjust their technique in such a short period of time time. The game is too dynamic. For me the sanction is wrong. Fans want 15 men in the park. So WR need to get creative.

'So many s--t emotions:' Distraught Cane says he'll have to live with red card pain 'forever', Foz questions Kolisi escape

Congrats Boks and their fans. Heart break for the ABs. I have to say the ABs were written off at the start of the tournament and even with a man down for the whole game, they still were in with a chance until the death. A new era awaits for both teams. New coach, many player to retire or leave the next 4 years.

THE GREATEST! Boks beat All Blacks in instant classic to claim record FOURTH RWC in controversial, dramatic final

The Irish media simply could not get out of their mouths that they were outplayed. The constant tag line was Ireland just didn’t play to their potential, or weren’t at their best. That’s true, but only because of the brilliant game the ABs played.

'Mature, clinical and getting better every time': All Blacks time run perfectly as they hone in on fourth title

Gosh I’d love to know what the players said in that dust up after the game!

'Concede points there, they're done': Moment England missed to bury Springboks as ghosts of 2019 return

South Africa were very lucky tonight. Credit to them they found a way, but they lacked energy and creativity for most of the game. They will need to score tries against the ABs, Nienaber called it right when he said you need 25+ points to beat NZ. They can do it, but their dominant set piece game plan isn’t as effective as it used to be until the bomb squad come on.

'What you live for': Boks beat England in World Cup EPIC to set up mouth-watering final against All Blacks

It will be a completely different game. England don’t know how to play running rugby and lack many of the ABs backline qualities.
