Spot on JM. I too am a none believer and think the bible is simply a great story with some great moral guidelines (and some not so great ones as well), but it is a book that sits on my shelf right next to the Harry Potter series. However I fully support Izzy in doing what he did and encourage all others to do the same, you believe what you believe and should be allowed express those beliefs without fear of recrimination.
The Folau freedom of speech double standard
I think you are confused with freedom of speech and freedom of religion. What doctrine or well known frame of reference does “Look, mate, I hope your entire family gets murdered tomorrow,” come from? Is there is school of teaching somewhere that I have missed??
I also want to pose an alternative scenario, as I am sure you have seen people posting videos of Izzy delivering sermons at his church. What if one of Izzy’s sermons quoted 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 from the bible followed by his interpretation of said quote???
Would this construe a breach???

So I assume you have seen the videos of Israel delivering sermons at his church; what if his sermon quoted 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and he went on to explain his interpretation? Would Israel be reprimanded for delivering the sermon??
