Jedinak hasn’t been very clean so far…

Loving the passion of the Australian supporters at the ground. They really seem to be up and about today.

Freo need to back up last weeks performance with another win here. We’ve beaten all the teams below us this year so if we want to show we are a bit further ahead in development than the cellar dwellers then we should get the win. By no means guaranteed though – we have been mentally weak away from home so far (albeit against stronger opposition).

Freo by 3 or 4 goals.

A more composed start this week. Just need to take our chances when we go forward.

Eagles will be nigh on impossible to beat at home for a while now. Sydney were very lucky they got to play them in round 1 before they had a chance to get going & Nic Nat was still building.

Eagles look the goods for top 4. But they’ve gotta learn to play at the G to win the big one! Difficult when the WA teams only get 2 or 3 games there in the H&A season…

Watched about 40% of this game and loved the way the Lions went about it. Well done to them!

I agree AD, it’s not a knock on Lyon because clearly he has been a very successful coach (albeit with no premiership as senior coach). But do we perhaps need a fresh perspective? We are just asking questions and analysing what is in front of us instead of just blindly following as if the premiership will one day magically fall in our laps. There is nothing wrong with considering all the options in front of us.

Did you miss the part where I said he has my support? I’ve got no problem with losing – every team has ups and downs, but I can still question the general game plan and development of the team as a whole. I know Cerra, Bradshaw and Banfield all have very bright futures, but can Ross get the best out of all of them and utilise their talent along with the rest of the squad?

My thoughts are that with the team/talent we currently have, we should be a lot more competitive with our opposition away from home. We drop off way too quickly and easily. Young kids will do that, but it has been very poor.

I still have faith, but perhaps a little less than before. I’m looking forward to watching us for the rest of the year to see our development.

But if the club made the decision to make a change I probably wouldn’t stop them.

I find myself thinking these thoughts recently. I think the talent we have is better than our performances. Our wins have only been against the sides below us when we are playing at home.

I still think Ross is a very good coach but I’m just not sure if he is the right one to take this squad of talented players to a premiership. I’m more than happy for him to prove me wrong though! I’ll give him my support for this year and next year unless things start going further backwards.

We are bad away from home. We have a lot of talented youngsters and some really good senior players yet we dish up this kind of performance. Brisbane and Carlton have showed more heart on the road this year.

Hope it stays close because it will be for an intense finish if this is the way it continues.

Despite being a slog, this has been a really enjoyable contest to watch so far!

Left home at half time to get on the train to the Freo v Saints game and Port looked a rabble. Check the scores now and they are in front!

What has changed?

The Eagles are a tough, disciplined side this year. They have a really good balance of players in all areas of the ground. Eagles v Tigers next week will be huge!

If the Bombers drop this game they are in a bigger hole than I thought…

Richmond Tigers vs Fremantle Dockers: AFL live scores, blog, highlights

Not a great day for me being at the G. Tigers are all over us.

Score review has done better than we have today. Two goals have become behinds for a net result of -10 for the tigers. We’ve only scored 9 points (net result of -9 for the tigers)!

Hoping for a more competitive second half…

I get this awful feeling every time he lines up 30m out directly in front…

Nine hot takes from AFL Round 6

Some fans from every club leave early if the game isn’t going their way. Not exactly ground breaking commentary from Mattician.

Nine hot takes from AFL Round 6

We had more than enough opportunities and time in our forward half to win that game. Happy with the effort but we made too many errors.

Tigers at the G next week looks a huge challenge.
