Australian rugby needs New Zealand to survive
Sheek, long time.
My view is that no man is an island!
Super rugby only works because SANZAR exists. It’s the common good – and the general thread in these comments is the kiwis are somehow losing from this arrangement. they’d be spraying players everywhere and supporting young men who otherwise wouldnt get a guernsey.
what’s not to love!
Australian rugby needs New Zealand to survive
As i mentioned in the article –
This is an example of a detail that the ARU and NZRU could figure out, e.g. super rugby could be considered “domestic”.
thoughts?
Australian rugby needs New Zealand to survive
the writer is conscious that there is no point having strong kiwi teams if there is no one to play against.
so it’s too simplistic to say this is australia’s problem and we’ll just do our own thing and not worry about it.
At the end of the day we’re all ANZACs. Dont we want to see each other at the top of our game?
Australian rugby needs New Zealand to survive
Hey guys
I’m always interested to see what people take from my views.
It’s curious how many people see this as Kiwi bashing. I’m actually a kiwi.
There’s so much talent in australia playing other codes. if we could get them playing union Aus would be competing against nz at every level.
i just think a jolt in the arm is what the aussie game needs to get more people playing rugby, kind of like a steroid ; )

Nice one spiro, and it works!
who knew you were the techno-head!
another good site to try (e.g. for other non-nz games) is ishunter.net
The Wallabies could win a Grand Slam and angry fans might not see it
Well said Spiro – i felt really bad for Gitau limping off like that. It’s not that they dont care, but gee, their time is up. brutal, but such is life.
Giteau Law must go before it destroys the Wallabies' culture
hi Chinmay
Fair point, I chose the US Basketball team mainly because it was hard to find any other teams with such a dominant record.
I don’t think the Kangaroos would be close to 90% win record…
The All Blacks are better than the Dream Team
they’d be gunning for the wing, i think.
actually funnily enough there is some merit to this side chat. I heard that when the Americans played the Tall Blacks they were totally taken back by the kiwis’ physicality

I reckon Mccaw, Kaino, Read, Whitelock, Retallick, SBW and Dominic Bird would be pretty good at basketball. Jarst saying.
Maaaaybe they could beat them at basketball just to put the issue to bed.
The All Blacks are better than the Dream Team
I’ll send through my source as soon as I get to the laptop
The All Blacks are better than the Dream Team
It was an interesting process to break down the numbers.
I think we need a hybrid basketball/rugby game to decide the best sporting team. Wouldn’t that be a thing to watch
