Leroy – yes we are all free to say what we want, but when you sign a contract that has limitations to social media and / or hate speach, along with being a high paid athlete who is in the public eye you are under more scrutiny than the average person. I risk being sacked if i post innapropriate things online, as are most people who sign an employment contract. It is the way of the new world because of the rise of social media.

who knows – Mary may be good, spark up the attack a bit. An assistants role is heaps different from the head coaches role. Plus the coach aint the one who runs onto the footy field – if the players don’t listen or perform, it’s the players who are at fault, trouble is the coach cops the brunt of the abuse

plenty of hits to the head are not from an illegal / high tackle. How many blokes have gone down from catching a hip, knee, copping a whack from a 2nd or 3rd man in the tackle (even as a team mate) etc? look at how few head high shots there are in rugby compared to league? yet both are car crash / collision sports that the players knowingly walk onto the field for to compete in

yeah the rule should be it must be an attempt to kick between the post, which would mean she’s only going to happen when in front of the posts & within a certain range, the ref can also tell because of the set up by the kicker. Otherwise she’s knock on. But will we then suffer from intense scrutiny all over the paddock with any kick where the ball gets close to the ground prior to being kicked – will someone complain saying it hit 1 blade of grass before it was kicked which then makes it a drop goal attempt?
