Exactly…Simone went from a fringe Waratah to a fringe Wallaby by moving to Canberra. As much as we love seeing the Waratahs struggle, something isn’t right. We need all 5 squads playing strong.
The decision to sack Rob Penney was shameful. But you already knew that
It’s Jahrome Brown, not Hughes, replacing Cussack in the Brumbies starting side…… 😛
Super Rugby AU Round 6 teams: Reds bench young star for Waratahs meeting
Agree with NB here, Wright on the wing. I remember the game against the Tahs last year, he made Mark N look pedestrian in terms of foot speed.
Why the Queensland Reds are skating on thin ice
As a Seawolves fan from the very beginning (I’m also a Seahawks and Huskies fan….Seattle all the way), it’s great to see the league going from strength to strength. I’ll be downloading the app too, watching on FB was okay, hopefully this way will be better.
How is Major League Rugby shaping up for 2021?
Speaking of AWJ, there was a great meme on a Welsh Rugby FB page the other day……IF Wales beat France and win the Grand Slam, AWJ will have as many 6 Nations Grand Slams as England and Ireland combined 😂
England sink France while Wales are up for the slam
Saw a Stan advert on fb today…..Sonny Bill is joining the Stan team too.

We get coverage of super rugby on NBN news (Newcastle/Central Coast)…..I can barely remember ever hearing it on there before.

They apparently had a deal with to show it in pubs on the racing channel, but the channel reneged when they realised no one had consulted Peter V’landys and Tabcorp.

Yep….not comparing the two by any means, but didn’t Dan Carter start his international career at 12 outside King Carlos?
A year or two playing outside To’omua wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Coach's Corner Issue 3: Rebels without an attacking cause?
Yep, I saw that too.
Waratahs coaching speculation tells us the NSWRU board is as mad as we feared
They do. I remember years ago it being announced that rugby was to be one of the official sports of the People’s Liberation Army, but obviously not widely beyond that.
The Wrap: 153 reasons why Waratahs coach Rob Penney must be left alone
I wonder how much the injuries a few years ago affected his confidence? I believe he has always had the talent to get there, but serious injuries like he has had, must surely have made him a bit tentative coming back at first, hopefully he is now past that.
Battle of the blindside enforcers: Why the power lies in Canberra
Great wrap as usual Geoff…..a great night for the Richmond household, with the Brumbies winning and then George North from my old club Rhyl, becoming the youngest player to 100 international caps, along with victory over England.
To cap it all off today is St David’s Day…. Dydd Gŵyl Dewi Hapus. 😊
The Wrap: Lineout issues tower over Super Rugby
As a fellow Welshman the ‘knock on’ was the least contentious of the two….as soon as it hit his leg, according to the laws, it wasn’t a knock on but a kick, as strange as that may be.
England sunk by Wales while Ireland lash Italy
Llongyfarchiadau George! 😁
George North to eclipse Michael Hooper's 100 Test record on Saturday
I watched the Toyota Verblitz vs Toshiba Brave Lupus on Stan yesterday…..a thoroughly entertaining game with Toyota running out winners 34-33.
Force struggle with whistle-happy ref
Brilliant! ありがとうございました (Thank you) Stan! 😊
A few months ago in one of the English language papers from Japan, an article seemed to hint that the Top League was in talks to be included from 2022 onwards in a competition with NZ and Australia. Maybe this puts a little flesh on those bones, as a hint as to what may be, post pandemic.
Stan Sport nabs Australian broadcast rights for Japanese Top League
They were due to play the Brumbies Runners in Albury on Friday…..I’m guessing that as both teams are now in Canberra it will be played there, if it goes ahead. Haven’t heard anything though.
The Roar's Super Rugby AU season preview: Melbourne Rebels
Rhyl is pronounced rill…..with a rolled ‘R’
Clwyd is pronounced clue-id
Bron yr Aur is literally Breast of Gold, its a village near Carmarthen …..and an excellent Led Zeppelin track 😁
George North delayed in bid to break Michael Hooper's century record
Proud to say that he a product of my old club of Rhyl in Clwyd (North East Wales) 😊
George North delayed in bid to break Michael Hooper's century record
Yes Jeznez…..it’s being streamed on the Brums Facebook page.
Queensland Reds dealt massive injury blow for Super Rugby AU
Look out if your surname is Wright…..the Brumbies Tom Wright is out for 6 weeks with a knee injury.
Liam Wright and the Reds back row can be stronger for his injury
When George was about to play his 100th game a few weeks back, Rhyl RFC posted a picture of him in the under 17s…….he looked a man amongst boys.
