Great piece Spiro – thanks for that and very true with regards to Bakkies, you’d have to also think that given his track record ref’s are aware of his tactics and are keeping an extra eyeball on him, just waiting (because you know it’s just a matter of time) for him to have a brain explosion!

Looking forward to Sat and round 2!

The Boks have to play more rugby, less thugby

“Deans need to finish the job he started with Tuquiri and get the big egos out of the way and get in guys who can be coached”

Agreed BB – and perhaps this is why there 10 Reds players in the squad, as they have shown this year they are prepared to be coached unlike the Brumbies who had a star studded line up.

Deans' last shuffle of his Wallabies cards

Already blaming the ref there johno?

All Blacks need to beat the Boks, badly!

Isn’t Davies still injured?

Deans swings the axe for his Tri-Nations squad

Shepherd yes but prob Drew as well. He was good in the first two games and had a good S14.

With only Ioane & Hynes named as wingers the last two spots must surely contain 1 winger.

Glad higgers & Anthony made the cut though!

Deans swings the axe for his Tri-Nations squad

Dejan, nice article but could Paul the Octopus be wrong again?

The only time the usually-prescient Paul has erred in the past was ahead of the Germany-Spain final at the 2008 European Championship. Paul picked Germany; Spain prevailed 1-0.

So I’m hoping he’s done it again…Come on DLand!!

Germany or Spain? One tough tactical battle

This should be a good game and I’ll be shouting for the AB’s – this will after all most likely be one of the semi final match ups next year, so quite a lot riding on it..

All Blacks need to beat the Boks, badly!

“Get some perspective, England on its day can challenge any southern hemisphere team as can most other Northern Hemisphere teams”

Well said MR

Back in Nov 2006, less than a year before the 2007 RWC Eng beat the Boks 23 – 21; The boks then went on to lose to IRE 32 – 15 and then to win the RWC the following year..

Some may say that was an under strength side but should’nt they have depth as if their first choice, say forwards, were injured?

Is the writing on the wall for Robbie Deans?

And that’s a good thing, like someone above already said, lets hope he’s here until the RWC 2015 to see through what he started!

Is the writing on the wall for Robbie Deans?

Well said KPM – look how long and how many losses it took Woodward to get to the top in 2003. The players definitely need some sort of wake up call!

Is the writing on the wall for Robbie Deans?

Was a disappointing game, especially after watching the AB tear Wales a new one! Then again the Boks didn’t have a cracker of a game either and they were playing Italy…

Will have to see how Sat goes, would be nice to get some consistency though…

Wallabies beaten by a team built like dart players

Come on that’s not entirely true..Genia insisted RD select him for the first game in Perth but all he did was warm the bench. You can’t wrap them in cotton wool! At least Burgess stodd up and was counted in his last game, the big question will be can he maintain that level – let’s hope so!

It's been Quade in Spades in 2010

You’re right let’s not get ahead of ourselves. So far at S14 level they have been great and beaten the top sides. If they don’t get big heads and build on what they’ve got they can go all the way.

Will also be interesting to see if the scrum has improved over the week as some would have us believe.

Cooper out to establish halves dynasty

I thought TPN needed surgery to an ankle or shoulder or both, either now or later in the year? Surely better to get it out the way now?

Wallabies scrum will improve, says Elsom

Beale has been moved to the bench and JOC to start at 15 for the game on Sat.

Still not sure why my last comment was censored?

Beale should displace Cooper in Wallabies

On the SMH website there was an article saying Palu had phoned Gerrad saying they’ll be playing each other in round 1 of the S15. Has the schedule been released yet?

Rebels already building strong stockade

Hey Sammy

I have built a Windows Media PC, which bascially means I have Windows 7 Ulitmate running on a pc in the lounge! It comes with an app (Media Center) that I have my antenae connected to (Works like Foxtel IQ for the FTA channels)

If you have a newish TV all you’d really need to do is hook up your laptop to your TV, should be a VGA or HDMI port in the back of the TV. Depends if you have a laptop or desktop and what connection you have on there (Some of the newer laptops have HDMI ports which would do sound as well). You would still need to get the sound out of the PC or listen to it via the PC if you use the VGA option which would be how your Desktop is currently connected to your monitor….

As for the picture, that will depend on the graphics card.

Hope that makes sense?

Live stream of Baa Baas game one for the purists

While I didn’t think the stream was bad I would have expected to see this high profile game televised live. Maybe a club game could get this sort of treatment but not a mid week international!

Barbarian game not good enough for TV?

Was pleasantly suprised by the quality of the feed, although still prefer to watch it in HD on the box that I doubt will change.

When in Full Screen through the media center on the TV it wasn’t great but on the laptop worked fine. Still unless you are a purist I doubt you’d be able to make out which player is which……unless of course we’re talking about Weeksie 😉

Between this and the Folau saga – enough already!

Smith welcomes prospect of Sonny Bill

With the Argies joining the tri-nations in 2012 it would make sense for the Rebels (and other franchises) to target some Arentine players. Sanzar should be encouraging this!

D'oh! Brendan Cannon just doesn't get it

I wouldn’t write them off so quickly, fair enough they may not top the log but they can’t possibly be worse than the Lions….

D'oh! Brendan Cannon just doesn't get it

Always ggod to have that experience in a reasonably young squad..

Big Guy looks for redemption at Reds

Well lets just be grateful he’s getting his “shot” against Fiji and not against the AB’s!

Can Cooper still shine with Burgess' poor passing?

You’re right there, my cousins who live in Melbourne have a South African father and as such were brought up on Rugby. They are now both in their 40’s and ardent Collingwood supporters but still go to every Wallaby game in Melb!

Start em young keep em keen…
