Hamish was chairman not CEO but he did assume many many roles while chairman so I get your confusion. I think we all agree the game needs a grounded, level headed highly experienced sports administrator that can unite. The number of ‘contacts’ shouldn’t weigh too heavily surely. Correct Herbert isnt that but he’s interim and will stand aside once a global search has been completed I would think but this is circus RA so anything is possible.

Players need a high performance environment to perform. You think RA has ever provided this? It’s no surprise that any oz player that heads to Europe or NZ becomes a much better player. The players have been shafted. The ones that stayed over covid, took pay cuts and all they got in return is ever increasing mismanagement by RA. If I were any budding pro player I’d be headed to Europe.

NSW had no choice right, they are flat out broke. Force and Rebels won’t because they don’t want their teams booted out. So now why are the 6 others calling for Hamish’s head? Phil says it’s because of power grabbing (pointing finger at Queensland) and a refusal to centralise and act in the best interest of the game, the 6 others are saying its because of Hamish and his recent poor leadership. Phil blames the world cup on Eddie and the players, and says Hamish has worked wonders for the game. Phil, pull your head out of Hamish’s ass. Hamish has got to go. He is not the person to unify and get the required reforms done. He’s an arrogant, pompous, self serving person who cannot hold himself to account or be trusted. Another one of Hamish’s great decisions, sign up an unproven NRL player (yes, very talented but unproven nonetheless) on a contract at least double his true value, and piss off existing players that have come through the system, players that are on far less and proven international players so now said players are exploring NRL contracts. Geez, no one saw that coming! How does Hamish spin this one, or in Hamish’s world everything Hamish does is great and he pats himself on the back and socialises that during board meetings where the Shore old boys network agree and kiss his fat ass.

Waugh basically rubbished the Suaalii deal, talking of being far more fiscally responsible. Wow, some sensible talk from RA. But no choice there as Eddie and Hamish have overseen the wallaby value tank and the so called big private equity deal off.
