Sport fanatic but unusually for an Australian my favourite sport is American Football with my favourite player being the ridiculous Devin Hester.

I would also put forward Thomas Sirk, Quarterback for Duke ins a 45 -43 victory over Virginia Tech which went to 4 over times. He threw for 270 yards and 4 TDs while also rushing for 109 yards. Was a fun game to watch as a Blue Devils fan.

The term “more probable than not” comes across as ridiculous in my opinion. That seems to imply that they are 51% sure Brady is guilty but don’t have any true evidence. Terrible choice of words. Nevertheless it will potentially tarnish his name with some. It should at least be proved beyond doubt before all this Asterisk labeling nonsense and suspensions and fines are dolled out.
What now for Tom Brady and the New England Patriots?
That is a lot of wide receivers going in the first round. I struggle to see that happening.
NFL mock draft 2015: Winston to Tampa, Mariota to Tennessee
It’s also likely the 49ers draft a running back in what is apparently a strong RB class.
Size, speed and a coach who likes him: Jarryd Hayne will make it
Nicely written up. Most fans struggle to understand the structure of these large money money contracts.
Jay Cutler got constantly criticized by the Bears fan base for being the highest paid NFL Quarterback in 2014 but going forward the cap hit is very reasonable for a starting Quarterback.
Joe Flacco's numbers proves you can't hide from a bad deal
No, he’s not guaranteed a spot on the practice team. The only thing guaranteed is $100K. He could potentially get cut tomorrow, unlikely, but always possible if they needed an extra roster slot going forward.
Hayne's 49ers deal gives him a chance, but he's got a lot to learn
Well said, you were able to state all my concerns he will have to face.
People underestimate how complicated NFL playbooks are and the terminology used on the field as you say can be paramount to rocket science. It’s not the simplest thing to be know exactly what to do when the following is yelled by the QB and the crowd is screaming.
Simple example such as “686 Pump F-Stop on two” or “FB West Right Slot 372 Stick” and then the more complicated “west right flanker zap fake 67 keep right flanker slide y high west right flanker zap” And it’s a new playbook or at least new plays every week. Granted Hayne won’t be a Quarterback but he will still need to have a solid understanding of all this.
On him wearing pads, I would love to be a fly on the wall as he try’s to put all his equipment on the first time. And he starts trying to catch punts with a chest pad that will make that ball bounce right off. People also seem to forget that Hayne was returning kicks in League against tired players who have been potentially on the field for 80 minutes not guys that are fresh every time and whose only job for the game is to stop him.
On saying all that, I really do hope he makes it.
Hayne's 49ers deal gives him a chance, but he's got a lot to learn
I can’t believe he was paid to go to the Superbowl and then submitted such a lazily written article. Your call out is well deserved, but will no doubt fall on deaf ears.
Why Buzz Rothfield should never cover the Super Bowl again
If anyone can slow him down you gotta think Kam Chancellor is the one could do it.
Silencing Rob Gronkowski
A simple listen to Waddle and Silvy on ESPN 1000 Chicago shows that is not the case with callers both for and against Cutler calling in to the show on a daily basis.
As much crap as people like to give Cutler he should not be one of the biggest worries for Chicago in 2015, he is at least serviceable. We have many positions that have players that are not.
The future looks bright for the Chicago Bears
Can I ask why you think Jimmy Clausen is a better Quarterback?
The future looks bright for the Chicago Bears
Yeah I have used gamepass for the past 5 years. It’s awesome, and being able to watch any of the games across the whole season and condensed versions makes it even better. I think it’s $130 for the Season “Distant Knight”
Seven Network: You can do better with the NFL
How about the complete lack of replays through the week. I can’t for the life of me understand why the don’t replay the games throughout the week. That is by far one of the best ways to get new fans involved and increase numbers. only the dedicated of us get up at 3am to watch games each week.

What about Aussie Punter Sam Irwin-Hill for his terrific 51 yard touchdown run.
College Football 2014: Week 5 heroes
The Madden 25 tutorial for the read option is actually a great way to understand it.
College football 2014: Week 4 Villains
The read-option is a style of play that allows the Quarterback two choices depending on how the opposing defence defends the play. Generally the Quarterback will receive the snap and go to hand the ball to the running back while he “reads” the Defensive End (DE) or outside linebacker (OLB). If the Quarterback “reads” that the runningback has been defended against by the DE or OLB he will instead keep the ball and run himself. The opposite is true if the Quaterback reads that he is covered he will hand the ball off instead. So the Quarterback “reads” the defence in action and selects which “option” will work best.

I don’t think Quoting Ray Lewis, a man who was charged with Murder is a particularly good idea, as he sure as hell doesn’t mind a man putting his hands on another man.
No Ray Rice, no revenue: It's simple for the NFL
Kyle Orton isn’t the starting Quarterback for the Bills, EJ Manuel is.
Josh McCown did not run Chip Kelly’s offence, he is the coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. McCown played for Chicago as you correctly stated with Marc Trestman, under his offence.
Big Dawg's Dodgy NFL Tips: Week 1
3 years on and life sucked without Manning for a season, but it did give the Colts the number 1 draft pick and thus Andrew Luck which began the new era.
Life without Peyton Manning? Not so bad
While I love the idea, I cant see the NFL agreeing to it. At best we would get a preseason week 1 game. Australia is not a big enough market to justify it imo. The cost and inconvenience to the teams would be a very hard sell. I couldn’t see owners or the players union agreeing to it.
An NBA game would be so much more doable. They have 82 games in a season and only have an active roster of 12 players per team, meaning they would have more flexibility in their schedule and ease of moving a team 24 hours compared to the NFL. Plus you have the promoters dream of Patty Mills, Dante Exum and even Andrew Bogut who would draw crowds. Plus we have established national basketball competition with stadiums that would not need to be heavily altered to cater for the sport.
I love the NFL but I wouldn’t want a game played over here that counted in regular season or that disrupted preparation for the season for my team.
It's time the NFL came Down Under again
I assume the 8 weeks came from beginning of training camp through to the start of the regular season.
For me the off season starts almost immediately after the Super bowl with the weeks leading up to Free Agency and the combine, then you have the draft, then you have rookie mini camp, OTAs then finally training camp. So in my mind the off-season has been going on since February and I need a real game asap.
Learning about the NFL in August
I have a similar issue, I generally make it until 12:30 and fall a sleep, but so happy I made it through the whole way 2 nights ago with Michael Rogers awesome victory.

Nice write up, very interesting to see the routine that occurs each day.

Not sure if your just being satirical, but they should absolutely show the games live Monday morning. However they should then be replayed at some point through the week for people like yourself to watch at a more reasonable time. The Sunday afternoon timeslot would be great for the previous weeks best game perhaps. But for me I will always be getting up at 3am to watch the games as nothing beats live sport.
