They did well, but weird selections, really put them under the pump in the semi. A technically deficient batsman and an injured all rounder? They were 9 playing 11 and it showed in the end. Better off playing Coulter -Nile and Mitch Marsh. Mitch every bit a top order batsman in white ball. Coulter-Nile an absolute match winner when put under pressure. Think we would have got closer with those two in.

DRS is a little scary. Guptill was plumb LBW first ball, with the ball swinging late to off after pitching leg. DRS showed no movement, with the ball heading down leg. I think the ump gave it not out initially as he thought it had pitched outside leg.

Australia played well and rode their luck however, to win it they need Lyon to get some overs in. He was underdone. If he had been on his game England would have been out for less than 100.

Not a Brisbane follower, but sympathies with them, because the umpiring was the worst and most bias I have ever seen. Multiple and consistent non-calls. The Richmond players seem to know they could get away with infringing. The Martin “throw” one of many instances! Just sayin!
