Well, it will be interesting to see if new Chair Andrew Lancaster – who put Hook into the job will own up to it or blame predessors for his dumb decision?

that’s the rub “if saints are interested about a long term rebuild”… I don’t think they are.
Hasler, Flanagan or someone with fresh ideas - who looks right for Dragons’ coaching job when Griffin gets hooked?
I loved (not) Griffins words before the Charirty shield that “they had had an excellent preseason” and that “last year wasn’t so bad, that they got 12 out of 24 so they should be able to pick up a couple more this year” ! They then lost by 20 points and looked like they couldn’t stop a couple of kids or pass a ball at the right time.

Firstly how much cash? What did Win pay was it $12mill? to buy half and retire the ST George side debts? Members should become equity holders and crowd fund raiser might do it. I’m not 100% sure, but surely there’s more interested parties out there which would be better than this disinterested lot.

Hey Tony, spot on. I rekkon the decision making is all from the top or what is considered the ‘top’. The board which is pretty much run by Win corp (Andrew Lancaster and Gorden) who have no interest in the dragons winning. Its all about owning the identity so no other bugger can have it. They don’t want to spend money, they didn’t give one iota about thw 100 year anniversay of the STG side, they just don’t care and that shows in that only 3 players turned up to the end of year internal awards night. Who chose Hook? The board – or Lancaster did is the more to the point. Who keeps choosing the recruiters and strategy – Lancaster. What a pathetic situation. I can’t see it changing until WIN people get off the board and let real knowledge on or at least hire people that do know about RL and all it’s needs.

As a dragons supporter, I like the footy to be good and Penrith have played a better game than most this year, I also think Brian To’o is the player of the year and his western sydney story the best in the game. Souths, like Melb and others rely too much on the wrestle. Hate it.
