I don’t think we get the order of the way improvements would come. It’s like this:

1. Create interest / ratings up / money in the SR COMP

2. Create interest / ratings up / money in the SR COMP

3. 1. Create interest / ratings up / money in the SR COMP

4. Picky about players origin etc.

Get the comp moving. Love the draft idea.

And btw if you do numbers 1 to 3
You can attract your players back from Europe.

It’s not the other way around.

Kiwi View: Opening up eligibility - the (not so) quick fix to Super Rugby’s inequity?

Ben don was so bad. It’s hard to believe he is the wallaby 10. Latu needs more time in the field he is a very gutsy player will heaps of power. I think a coaching blunder again from and Australian with Gleason and Jake not starting. Silly silly and not good enough.

'Embarrassed': Hooper's farewell falls flat as horrific Tahs smashed in momentum-killer ahead of quarter

-Did a bit of research and you are not correct here. The final attracted 1.3 Mill (Brums v Reds) across all platforms. Thats double any previous number in the history of SR. Averages in the article below.
-It will work (National Comp) and in my opinion we are all deluded by expansions and NZ arguments, which suit them. By example, Shute Shield in NSW is pumping each and evert Saturday because of the magic ingredient being tribalism.
-Unfortunately we will wait for the current format to flatten out (with all of the games that AU viewers do not care about across the ditch), become unviable .. then maybe we will take the plunge.
-We just want to see some intensity in the games. The Rugby AU comp had that in spades.

Super power struggle: Why RA is pushing back on NZR and believe they want to blow up SANZAAR

Watching the kiwis is boring.
AUs v AUs is what we need.
The kiwis have cleverly conned us that rugby is better watched when the ‘quality’ is better but no one is interested without tribalism.
Rugby AU in 2020 was awesome and rating off the charts.
Add 3 more teams under private investment model in Australia and play the kiwis and Japs after that.

It’s the only way.

Talk to us after the RWC and Bled our kiwi bro

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

It’s the right call and a major upgrade from DR. All the energy, initiatives and great movements that AU has made in the last few years can be lost if the coach does not nail it… and DR and the team he has coached has not .. regularly.

'Major coup': Rennie axed with Eddie Jones returning as Wallabies coach on mammoth deal for two Cups

You are spot on James. Good team with a poor coach not the other way around.

'Won't happen': Rennie's blunt reaction to working with Eddie, addresses future, Wisemantel exit and review

If they are talking to EJ, they won’t be talking to DR ; )

'Won't happen': Rennie's blunt reaction to working with Eddie, addresses future, Wisemantel exit and review

SA assistance with J White in RWC 2007 (I think).
Japan in RWC 2015. He implemented serious change in that country and the team mentality.
Englands record from zero’s to hero’s’ post 2015.
arondn 97-99 the Brumbies and those of you who remember getting the WB’s the final after promotion and almost taking it in 2003. They overperformed in that tornament ..
Recently the 2-1 defeat to Australia in 2021 and 3-0 in 2015.
The point is results.. he would be better now than ever and as I say, we just want the wins.
Regarding DR I like the bloke but he needs to practice being an international coach with someone else’s national team and come back to us in 5-10 years.
I have found that there is a tactical flaw and lack of poise from the team during his reign and it shows in the massive amount of close loss’s that occured with and without injuries. My view is the team is underperforming not over performing under DR. I say that because athletically we have a great crop of players, young and old ATM. We need to make the most of it now… before they FO to Japan on lucrative contracts!

Also interestingly all the players like EJ as a coach and thats noteworthy! .. and that contrary to the demonising of him if everyone would care to reflect. .. its the media that does not like his attitude and who cares about that!. Resuts results results! Get behind the little Aussie master

'Won't happen': Rennie's blunt reaction to working with Eddie, addresses future, Wisemantel exit and review

I know DR is a Stoney faced, convincing operator, but the wins are not there.

Eddie on the other hand is a winner and has 15 years on Dave at the international level.

As a fan I just want to see the wins. I’m not focused on liking the head guy per se.

I believe AR should not be fooled by such characters as DR. it was similar with Cheiks and Deans in that they are learning the international job on the WBs time and
In their performances. Itaily was an example of this coaching ignorance. It’s a very different style and set of requirements at international level. Get the guy who is tested, and that’s Eddie – and do it now.

'Won't happen': Rennie's blunt reaction to working with Eddie, addresses future, Wisemantel exit and review

Why are rugby supporters on here saying the game is done for? The opposite is true. As follows:

Globally the game is exploding adding money and opportunities for the player, albeit not in AU, yet.
Mid level Player contracts are available in Europe and Japan. Mid level contracts help the emerging, the young and the volume of players to stay in the sport. Fortunately unless your in a SR team it’s hard to get those opportunities.
SR greatly Improved the comp
in the last two seasons off the back of SA removal and improved tribalism. If you didn’t notice that you are blind.
Also all AU teams improved against kiwi opposition. The brumbs were good enough to make the final. It will improve in AUs favor again this season.
Private equity is coming as is a very enticing 8 year agenda.
We should have 8 teams and allow private investors to own and market the clubs and drive the sport.
A change that is required is the local SR comp to be played independently of Kiwi as the ratings improve significantly. You can only do that with more teams as mentioned, but while the players are shared via a draft as suggested, just those with a correct SR liscence compete in the pacific comp later in the season.

I know players that left the sport because they were offered 80k and are now superstars in NRL. Broaden our base and the game changes as mid level contracts are here. You can also afford
It because the rating are up due to more tribalism. Private investment in the clubs also enables seed capital and fresh marketing outlook, ambitious recruitment etc.

Anyway if rugby is not dead after the horrific 20 years it has had its stronger that the naysayers on here can understand.

The overhaul Super Rugby badly needs

👍

WALLABIES TEAM: Rennie springs No. 10 surprise, Rebels prop set to debut, Wright returns to fullback

Step 1: Eddie in, DR out.
Step 2: IN 3 years. Eddie as DOR, Dan Mac in as head.

Results matter sorry DR

Rugby News: England stars express 'disappointment' over Eddie axe, Wallabies weigh up future amid Rennie uncertainty

Oh I don’t know the game where the abs lost cuz. Or this one. Open the eyes Mal

WALLABIES TEAM: Rennie springs No. 10 surprise, Rebels prop set to debut, Wright returns to fullback

Hodge at 12 is a good move. Can manage a game

WALLABIES TEAM: Rennie springs No. 10 surprise, Rebels prop set to debut, Wright returns to fullback

Next week we will be singing their praises as the yo-yo returns up the the finger.

I'm not giving up on the Wallabies, but I have no idea where they're going now

At some point us fans will shrub and realize, we are just not very good.

'Everything's on the table': RA considers Rennie's future, radical selection oversight, after Italy debacle

3 more internal franchises, use private investment, national comp, mirror with super w. Play NZ at the end Of that.

Nothing else will bring tribalism and interest to grow the game.

What Rugby Australia should do with their first $10m - and why fans must stop looking for others to blame

The best LVs ever. Will have immediate and positive impacts on the game. Another important issue is substitutions. If limited to Injuries would allow for exhaustion and gaps to Open up the game big time rather than strong defense shutting the game down.

Otherwise these are initiatives hit the nail on the head. Well done.

Super Rugby law tweaks will change the shape of the game. Eventually

There is no precident for that call mr foster and that’s the point. Teams including yours run the clock down with scrum resets, walking to line outs, fake injuries. Why implement here, why now. Stupid and sooooo disappointing. Also how is the ref sure Foley can even hear him. Bad call all day.

'Clear cut call', 'They've got to be better': Ruthless All Blacks back ref as Foley felt he 'let team down'

I don’t get the league arrogance. Rugby only turned pro in the 90s versus 1895, 1 billion watched the union world cup final in 2019, 7 million players versus 200k. 160 countries etc. if it’s so bad please explain tbe stats / facts. Rugby is a detailed, fascinating and diverse game. It’s not a nrl / afl sugar hit that’s why we like it VLANDYS.

'Boring, slow, hard-to-watch game': V'landys' predictable rugby rant as Wallaby backs raid on Suaalii

10 mill would run 50 junior rugby clubs for 5 years.

'Boring, slow, hard-to-watch game': V'landys' predictable rugby rant as Wallaby backs raid on Suaalii

Thanks I just think they need cool heads. Hodge is not a dynamic player but he is a very good game manager. Combine him with Noah and I know that will give the entire team direction and focus.

ANALYSIS: Rennie must take leap of faith in Campbell and Beale to solve Wallabies' worrying fullback puzzle

Failure of leadership again. That was the main issue. Flicking it wide constantly watched that garbage for years from the WBs. There is also a problem with discipline who would have thought under the DR. The players.. well
TT is switched off. Lonegan too small. Back 3 no good but wingers acceptable. Foketi did not have an impact. Like j hollaways story but just not to test standard.

It was really a sad game that exposed the teams inability at every level. Its difficult to accept selfish and inept play at 4.30am.

Campbell to 15.
Hodge to 12.
Lesio to 10.
Wilson to 6
Latu to 2
Beale bench

ANALYSIS: Rennie must take leap of faith in Campbell and Beale to solve Wallabies' worrying fullback puzzle

I think Wright is a liability. He makes serious errors all the time while the occasional piece of great play is there as well. I don’t think it’s test match quality and will / did get exploited.
