Good decision :), i had booked a ticket for Sunday’s game @ SCG (booked months back, even before Coronovirus started) , now no need for confusion. I was in a dilemma reg. whether to go or not.

Australia vs New Zealand ODIs to be played behind closed doors due to coronavirus

Ross Taylor is Australia's biggest threat

Yea even i dont understand how come Kane Richardson is still getting selected. He was a flop in last year’s world cup, selected again and gave away plenty of runs. May be because he is playing in the same BBL team which Finch capatains 😉

Labuschagne fires but Australia lose again in South Africa

The rule thing is not England’s problem, but ICC’s. Ideally the rule should have been who finished higher on the ladder. New Zealand sneaked into the Semi’s just because of the rained league match against India. I agree that NZ were robbed off the title with that over throw and silly boundary count back rule. But that doesnt take any credit away from the England – they beat both India and Australia convincingly and according to me, they deserved to win the title.

Kiwis' big chance to end 35-year drought in Australia

Aussie ODI batting is like pre 2000 ODI batting. See how many power hitters are the England line up, no wonder why they were the worthy world cup winners last year.

Kiwis' big chance to end 35-year drought in Australia

now it is almost over, 88 runs to get with 10 wickets in the shed

Virat Kohli has lost his self-belief

i am not so sure about the claim that the standard of IPL is as high as international T20 cricket.

IPL 2020 preview: Mumbai Indians

Last time Maxwell scored some runs was against a useless Pak bowling in Middle East (and just one good innings against SL in world cup). Australia is over dependent on it’s openers to produce big scores – it was evident in last year’s World Cup and not resolved yet

Glenn Maxwell sorely missed as Australia lose in South Africa

Result as I expected , so didn’t bother to watch 2nd innings 😛 , if Aussie openers were taken out cheaply, it was SA’s game to lose. Australia got a problem in middle order. Hope they sort it out before next World Cup, not sure what Short is doing at no. 7

Glenn Maxwell sorely missed as Australia lose in South Africa

I hope Australia wins the one day series at least. It was the defeat at the hands of South Africa in the last league match of World Cup denied Australia a first place finish in the league stage (which helped ENG I feel). So the Aussie fans want to exact revenge for that loss.

Wounded Proteas a danger to in-form Aussies

An in form Mitch Marsh was missing in India. I will pick him ahead of both Stoinis & Short.

Turner and Agar leave the Aussie middle order weak

Good one 🙂 hope Kawhi’s team reaches the Western Conference final at least.

The Leonard load management conundrum and the cost of resting in the west

Good Article Ryan, definitely the exclusive coverage to Fox Cricket for few games has impacted the viewership count for sure. But CA doesnt bother a bit, they need more money. I feel this season is slightly better than last season with more star players. Still it is boring to watch for me (i watch only the games on Seven). Only very few teams are compelling to watch. I took a ticket for one of the Sixers match @ SCG and i couldn’t go due to some reasons, and i was struggling to resell my ticket. No one gives a damn about Big Bash, i should have realized it

The Big Bash has big problems

Rather than worrying about wicket keepers, the bigger worry should be about the backup for Nathan Lyon, the cupboard is bare in the spin department

Australia needs to plan for its wicketkeeping future

Kane took 3 wickets against SL, so does that mean he is going to get few more matches ?

Pakistan implosion gifts Australia lucky win

Congrats Raptors !!, Kawhi for president !! Warriors were favorites for the finals. But Raptors won 3 times in their home ground, what a Finals series this has been. Entire Canada supported the Raptors and the watch parties in Toronto were awesome.

Toronto Raptors win first NBA Championship with Game 6 thriller

I dont know who rated Kane as a good death bowler. The only notable performance in his career so far is the 5 fer ( 5 for 68 from 10 overs) he took against India @ Canberra in a match which India should have won easily. and I am not forgetting the fact that he was a last minute replacement for his namesake Jhye.

Pakistan implosion gifts Australia lucky win

After 4 matches, one thing is certain. This current Aussie team doesn’t look like a champion team. Bowling clearly lacks depth after Cummins and Starc. In a tournament where 350 is a defendable total, they cant escape with 300 odd against better teams (England / India). these kinda collapses will be duly punished by teams like England. I felt it was Pakistan’s game to lose when they were sitting comfortably at 136 for 2. Richardson should be dropped for Behrendorff.

Pakistan implosion gifts Australia lucky win

1999 WC Semi final – best one day match ever played, no doubt about that. Some might argue that 434-438 was the best match, but cant agree with that thought as stakes were high as it was WC semi final in the former and the other one was the last match of a bilateral series.

My favourite World Cup cliffhangers: Part 7

it is not impossible in semi final to chase down 280 odd, NZ chased 298 in the 2015 World cup semi final, you may argue that it is a small ground and also against known chokers SA.

Don't be mistaken, England are still World Cup favourites

Bowling certainly looked rusty, if they bowl this kinda of trash (like Zampa and Stoinis did at times) against teams like India and England, they will be chasing 350+ scores, they miss Jhye Richardson and Hazlewood for sure. I think they should Jason Behrendorff a chance soon.

David Warner, Aaron Finch lead Australia through demolition job of Afghanistan

Usually NZ punch above their weight in World Cups, but i am not expecting them to do it again. NZ batting is inexperienced in my opinion, except Taylor, KW and Guptill. and see how the bowlers suffered at the hands of West Indies yesterday. Southee is inconsistent, only Boult they can rely upon. Henry gave over 100 against Windies and i am not sure if he play first game. Santner is a defensive bowler at best. And Collin Munro is just another T20 hitter as far as i am concerned. Doesnt have a good record against the top 4 teams – just 2 Fifties against England, India, Australia and South Africa. NZ’s batting definitely is over dependent on Taylor and Kane, if those 2 guys are dismissed cheaply, then it will be very tough for NZ. My prediction – 5th or 6th.

The Roar's Cricket World Cup preview series: New Zealand

Finch’s issue with incoming deliveries was again on display against SL yesterday. In such a situation, you need a calm presence like Khawaja at the top of the order.

Khawaja at risk of being axed for World Cup opener

I think India will struggle in games where at least 2 of top 3 dismissed early. I am still not convinced about their middle order in pressure situations. With all the hype around Bumrah, i have a hunch that he might flop in the world cup due to the weight of expectations.

The Roar's Cricket World Cup preview series: India

I hope Kawhi doesnt leave. They need him for some time now. Lowry is inconsistent these days. I hope they manage to beat Bucks somehow (even though it is very unlikely at this stage). Even at home, they struggled to beat Bucks and needed 2 OTs.

Don't touch my Kawhi
