Cameron, Higgins and Crouch in. Ratagolia, Ablett, Henderson, Taylor, Narkle, out??? Anyone else? Some big holes down back that nobody seems to be noticing
Jeremy Cameron wants out of the Giants
The roosters buy a lot of really good players from other clubs that are already stars. The storm seem to take middle of the road players and turn them into origin and test level. The players then use that to get bigger contracts at other clubs and go back to being middle of the road players. That is why the storm system and Bellamy are better.
Trent Robinson: The best coach of the modern era
What happens if they organise the logistics of everything, play one round and then Australia is put into mandatory lock down or there is an outbreak amongst the players? The whole thing could be cancelled and more money goes down the drain!
NRL will soon finalise bubble, test plans
No Richmond players? What about Daniel Rioli or Jack Graham? Both pretty good players in a good team.
The AFL all-star under-23s
Yes, but it would still make for an interesting article!
As sport goes into lockdown, what do you want to read on The Roar?
How fans can tell the difference between an organic sporting club and a plastic corporate one. Sporting organisations need to reward and promote successful local clubs more rather than create them using focus groups and marketing executives. There are many very successful and traditional clubs around Australia that should have been promoted to the top league.

Which players are most overrated due to fantasy sports. Some AFL players are massively overrated because they score well in fantasy. I’m sure many other sports are the same, the stats don’t always tell the truth!

A bit off topic, but my call for most improved player this year due to no crowds is Levi Casbolt. Has really struggled in the past with the mental side of the game, particularly his goal kicking. I think playing in front of no crowds will see him play at another level this year. #callingitearly
Let's be grateful that we have Gill
Classic. It’s hard watching at home and actually waiting for the crowd to scream ‘BALL’ every time someone gets tackled, it will take some getting used to.
Commentators mystified by repeated calls of 'Ball!' at crowd-free MCG
There is no way the cricket will still go ahead. Teams from all over the world travelling to and then around Australia would be concerning. Particularly India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka which are going to be very much impacted by COVID-19 over the coming 6 months considering their populations and health care systems.
AFL grand final on a coronavirus collision course with T20 World Cup
This whole year could be a great excuse for all sport leagues to trial a few different things for the future. I know the AFL with 17 rounds is something people have been calling for for a while, every team plays each other once. I wonder if there are some things the NRL could trial throughout this season as a bit of an experiment for the future? … maybe an excuse to relocate some of the hardest hit clubs across to Perth and Brisbane in the next few years?
Improving the broadcast product amid COVID-19
Great article, things like SCG memberships are about a lot more than just good seats. Just like forking out for Superbowl or Grand Final tickets is about more than watching a game. It’s about memories, traditions, families and friends.
Is being a member of the SCG worth the money?
What I think we should do about the coronavirus is. . . no ones cares what you think!
Play it safe or play on? Tough calls coming up for RA
No fans no worries, that could be the leagues slogan. 😁
No fans, no worries for A-League
Wow, they seemed really negative about the NRL’s financial situation. I wonder if they are just playing for government assistance? As leaders they probably shouldn’t talk publicly about how dire the situation could become, don’t panic the fans
NRL Round 2 to go ahead behind closed doors
Eeeewwwww 😱
Coronavirus fears as footage shows first NBA player case touching all the mics at recent presser
Think Yeo is overrated more so than Dusty. Lost respect for him when he walked out on Brisbane. People who live in WA seem to rate him really highly, the rest of Australia doesn’t.
The Roar's AFL top 50 players: 20-11
The screen shots “Were you at school today?” Career over, you can’t come back from that. On the eve of the season, these guys will be made an example of, as they should be, not a good look having these guys coming into schools to run clinics.
Two Bulldogs players stood down over code of conduct breach
Will completely release the pressure off both Boyd and the Broncos, hopefully can enjoy his last year and play well.
Boyd to retire from NRL at season's end
If Cameron Smith had played Origin in 2019, QLD probably win the series and he would be #1. Maybe a 2020 comeback?
The Roar's NRL top 50 players: 10-1
Too many better teams, Port are too inconsistent. They will be relying on Charlie Dixon, who still hasn’t fulfilled his true potential, to do most of the heavy lifting up forward. If any of their young guns have the second-year blues, Port’s depth just isn’t there to be a finals contender this year. Maybe after another year at the draft?
Port Adelaide season preview
As a storm supporter, I agreed with Gould, the Panthers did seem right in the match at half time. I thought most of his comments were pretty spot on. It’s Fitler that I find had a real bias against the storm. He almost seems to get upset when they’re winning.
