You are imputing something that was never claimed – this was not set up or represented to be a broad based opinion poll.
The method of implementation and number of respondents was openly disclosed and having an axe to grind is simply having and expressing an opinion.

Where to now for Rugby Australia? Survey that reveals fans' staggering levels of pessimism

Russ has already acknowledged that it was a ‘straw poll’ – a limited survey to gauge strength of opinions on issues that mattered to those who chose to participate. No where has he stated that these results reflect the views of a larger population. That is absolutely open to debate, but does not invalidate the opinions expressed.

Russ did not say X% of players.
He said X% of respondents to the survey, which is completely valid.

However, when you try and present data to support your argument that is so clearly lacks statistical power, you discredit your view. A rudimentary understanding of statistics would identify multiple bias points.

Really curious how you define statistical power. On its face, 77 respondents is ample to begin making valid statistical inferences, with standard caveats. The fact that the survey was widely advertised and respondents were self-selected is simply the lens through which results should be viewed and considered, it does not invalidate the results in their entirety.

This article seems to have missed another key change of recent relevance – automatic 4 week ban for aggravated (deliberate) foul play, with no mitigation except on appeal.

Genuinely curious why Cron always seems to get a free pass. He is the head coach, responsible for setting standards and expectations and his responses to some of the very significant losses have been far less than I would have expected – “minor tweaks”, etc.
Here we are at the bottom of the table, at season’s end and it still seems to be not a coaching issue…

It's hard to tell if some of Australia's Super Rugby teams actually have a deep desire to win - or are they satisfied just playing?

Thank you

The administrator also noted that the directors had stated they would “vigorously dispute” the finding of trading while insolvent in court.

There certainly haven’t been crowds of grassroots supporters in the media or at games holding “save our club” placards.

From the article above:
Phil Waugh is hopeful that cash windfalls expected from the 2025 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia and the 2027 men’s Rugby World Cup will be more than enough to pay it [PEP facility] back.

Piccolino’s article:”Based on previous earnings, the 2025 Lions tour and 2027 World Cup can get RA on a level footing to pay off its current $80m loan. However, they are unlikely to provide another war chest that underwrites the future of the game.”

Fair criticism, or just making it up?

Rugby Australia's debts blow out to almost $89 million after draw-down of PEP facility

Legitimate rhetorical metaphor, suggesting RA is praying for good fortune rather than engaging in prudent business practice.
Pedantry is your prerogative, but I don’t believe anyone was suggesting that RA was literally hoarding Powerball tickets, or urinating on walls.
Reasonable criticism, as you say.

Yes. I’ve yet to see anyone explain how being ‘committed to a tackle’ is within the laws of the game. If anything, it’s an admission that the tackler got it wrong.

What is the time frame
Mentioned in a previous comment, but take a look at the TMO review of Jorgo’s tackle on Petaia in Round 1 – a microsecond too early, result is a penalty try and yellow card for foul play.
Without the ball is without the ball.
Committed to the tackle is a made up defence.

'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?

Agree with this. Compare the forensic review of Jorgensen’s tackle on Petaia in Round 1 – deemed early by a microsecond, result was a penalty try and yellow card for foul play.

The onus should should always be on the tackler to effect a safe and legal tackle. Commit too early and it should be the tackler’s risk.
