We have talented players but we don’t have talented selectors.
Cheika’s selection’s beat him
Jones selection’s , lack of coaching ability and ego beat him.
Rennie either by necessity or ability to identify talent was successful in selecting players and was probably a much better coach than either Cheika and Jones as indicated by his results against top teams.
I am fed up wth hearing excuses for Jones he used Australian Rugby.I don’t know why RA does not come out and be honest in their assessment they made a huge mistake in selecting him and they should say straight up he does not have the ability to coach at the top level.
His theories just dont work

'Talent to beat the All Blacks': Ex-Wallabies coach's bold call following 'hash of a year'

It may be the decision makers ultimately, but Eddie has and is behaving as though he is suffering from concussion. It is an absolute disgrace that he is treating the public and fans the way he is.For many people who travelled to France it may well be their last opportunity to go to a world cup or indeed watch a test match involving the Wallabies.
Jones firstly selected a squad that blind Freddie could see would not do well. His match selections were equally as baffling. Who in their right mind picks a bench player who can play only on the wing.
He is still treating the fans and public with disdain and shows no sign that he is concerned for anyone but himself.
Rugby Australia certainly put this plane crash into motion and are also responsible but Jones don’t care and rude attitude is a disgrace.
Why does Waugh or the board does not have the guts to question Jones. Why ask the players what they thought. What player is going to critize the coach or the board if they value their rugby career in Australia.
How many of Jones team have had their confidence destroyed by the whole debacle?

'It's personal': The outcry over Eddie Jones' contract situation exposes a double standard in sports business

It may or may not feel like a winning culture to the Wallabies and I agree anything can happen on the day.
Eddie has made some weird selections in the first 5 tests and the result against Georgia will depend on who he picks. As Dave Rennie found out you can’t win with a second-string team.
If Eddie goes with anything but the strongest available selection, we could be in trouble. Injuries to James Slipper, Pone F and Samu Kerevi will force three of top picks out.
We will be hard pressed to hold the Georgians in the set piece when the third string props come on.
Perezzi IMO is the obvious replacement for Kerevie but Jones is reluctant to pick him. Defense in the centers was very poor against France.
The best hooker in the squad IMO is the young Reds hooker with Porecki on the bench.I would also have Max Jorgenson on the bench to get some game time as he will be an asset later in the tournament.
Excuse my spelling

It feels like a winning culture: Why Wallabies are bullish ahead of World Cup, Eddie sweats on injured stars

JOC is not yet finished and Lynah looked pretty impressive to me for the Reds

Why 2023 must start with a bang for Australian rugby

Michael Hooper must be your love child

Team of the Autumn Series: Eight from the north, seven from the south and two Wallabies make the XV

Well said Winston Agree 100% on all points.

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

Me too I am also curious

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

Barrett head clash should have been reviewed as too the tackle on Hodge The referring tonight wore the Wallabies down I have no doubt.
For all those drongos out there who believe that 13 or 14 players should beat 15 wake up it rarely happens
A fair minded judge should be able to find at least two cards against the AB’s and at least one of them red.

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

SAMU has served his time on the bench and at the moment is the best and most consistent 7 in this country
His effort tonight and also in Melbourne 10 days ago were super human

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

I hope that it is Petaia‘S last game for the Wallabies.
He is living on commentator’s promotion. He has potential but needs to go back to club rugby and start from scratch

REACTION: Rennie and Wallabies 'crumble' in Auckland again as All Blacks put on a 'masterclass'

If I had a choice between JOC and Jordan Petaia in my team for ANY position in the back line I would not pick JP.
JOC’s experience consistency and ability should win every time over the eratic Petaia. For the life of me I cant see what the selectors and Tim Horan see in him.Horan and other commentators have pushed him all the way as a fullback. Brad Thorn tried him then went back to the reliable Jock Campbell who I would also have in front of JP.
I would also have a back row which included Harry Wilson and the most damaging back in Australian outside of Kerevi on his best days is Perese so I would have had him in front of Paisami.
Apart from those changes the team looks pretty good and should come out on top of England again this week

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Kellaway and Ikitau OUT, Petaia at 15, Frost set for debut, Taniela returns, Suli kept waiting

Why not look at JOC at fullback if given the opportunity I think he would hold it right through to the World Cup.

Wallabies CONFIRMED: Kellaway and Ikitau OUT, Petaia at 15, Frost set for debut, Taniela returns, Suli kept waiting

I disagree with you it did cost us at that point 21 to 15 could have been22 to 21 and who knows from there

MATCH REPORT: Rennie's Wallabies sent out to go big or die trying - it was the latter

Hoopers captaincy..

MATCH REPORT: Rennie's Wallabies sent out to go big or die trying - it was the latter

While we are at it Tom Banks should go and Jake Gordon Naisarini goes for Angus Scott Young and for the life of me I do not understand why you would bring theTongan Thor on after the game is lost
There are some serious problems with the management of the team

MATCH REPORT: Rennie's Wallabies sent out to go big or die trying - it was the latter

What is the common denominator with every game the Wallabies have played since Ewan Mackenzie left.
Who has played every test match.
He is an excellent player but something is wrong as it is with the Waratahs and no one knows how to fix it.
I am a fanatical Wallaby supporter and have always found a reason or excuse for their losing.
I am afraid I am about to give up after more than 60 years.
Nothing is going to change in my opinion unless sadly Hooper is either benched or dropped completely
There are others who have had their chance as well like Sio who should go
Possibly the only one who of the old brigade who should remain is Slipper who would make a good interim captain
Valentino can go he has not done a lot.Wilson can play 80 minutes Fraser Mcright and Liam Write come in Toomua goes the hooker from Melbourne can go as well and let the young bloke from Perth have a go
Start Kerevi as he is joining the squad and allow any other overseas players who are good enough to be selected
When a player leaves Australia tell the if they ever want to play for the Wallabies again that it will be necessary to have a clause written into their contract for their release if selected for Wallabies
Those who really want to play for our country will either have it inserted or will not go

MATCH REPORT: Rennie's Wallabies sent out to go big or die trying - it was the latter

Philip and Jones played the house down for Rebs and Cooper proved he is still best 10 in Aus.Slipper was the best prop on the field so as far as I am concerned at the moment these three are front line contenders for the Wallabies Why are you so focused on Cheika’s failures.

Wallabies misery means more at stake in Super Rugby

I believe all players discarded by Thorn will rise to the occasion and give Thorn some real headaches in 2019.Slipper,Hunt and Cooper but weather the Wallaby coach rewards quality and form will be very interesting Thorn can blame drug use in the case of Slipper and Hunt but the fact that few Kiwis respect Cooper is one reason to ignore his ability. If he is not the best10 in Australian Rugby he has to be second best so since when have the Reds been so good that they can ignore such talent
I have been a Redssupporter all of my life but this year I really hope those three players stand up and show what they can do.

Karmichael Hunt signs with Waratahs for 2019

Poor trade? Karmichael James Slipper and Quade Cooper will cause Thorn nightmares this season and I for one hope they do even though I am rusted on Reds supporter I also hope that one or both of the new Wallaby selectors do the right thing by the three of them and pick them all in test match day teams

Karmichael Hunt to join Waratahs: Report

Every one of those players should be in the mix but I doubt Cheika has ever heard of half of them

Why Rugby Australia should listen to Bob Dwyer and dump the Giteau Law

Eathan with a name like that you are a good fit for soccer,in fact that is probably where you are from so what are you doing on a rugby site

So, how will this all work for Australian rugby?

TSEater the attack has not been good but I don’t think the right people have been selected and they are also selected out of position I believe that outside of Cheika’s coaching ability selection is the real problem

So, how will this all work for Australian rugby?

Riddler I agree with Phil Mooney’s ability in identifying good players. He was also responsible for assembling the Reds players who went on to win the Super Rugby Championship in 2011.He is also no slouch as a coach. My only concern is that Phil is one of the really nice guys involved in Australian Rugby and May be too much of a gentleman to stand up to the bully boy tactics of Cheika I believe that Phil is currently Coaching director at his old school Brisbane Grammar. If he did become involved at national level I would love to see him eventually coach the Wallabies

So, how will this all work for Australian rugby?

We should give this arrangement a chance to work.Rugby fans were never going to get full satisfaction out of any RA announcement but hopefully some of Cheika’s power over rugby in this country can be curtailed Provided Scott Johnson and the third selector can bring some commonsense and finish the cronyism happening in Cheika’s current selections then that is a big step in the right direction As most know there are a number of Cheika’s men who are either not ready for test rugby or are past it possibly this can change with unbiased participation in picking the team.If the right personnel are assembled then Larkem and Grey May be much more effective as assistant coaches.I would like the Fiji forward coach removed and replaced with one of many suitable Australian forward coaches. The first demotion should be either Hooper or Pocock preferably Hooper which would mean the appointment of a new captain Overseas players should come into contention and they could include McMahon White Gill and Horwill just to mention four. There are a number of others as well.Players who have been consistently ignored by Cheika like Cooper Hunt Tom English and Jones have got to be given their chance instead of empty promises

So, how will this all work for Australian rugby?

Why would you want another Randwick man involved as a selector
