Lets not forget how many teams have dipped into the Storm talent pool over the years, in fact I think that every team in the comp has someone who played for the Storm. Storm were in great need of a new winger. They lost Suli this year and are losing Josh Addo Carr next year….very hard to replace these guys. So why shouldnt they go out and find a replacement like other teams do. They went out and bought a new winger, who was happy to sign on the dotted line, remembering that the Titans also tried to rip him away from Brisbane. But that would have been ok because it wasnt Melbourne. I remember a short time ago that Brisbane thought was ok to sit down with a young up and coming number 7 by name of Brodie Croft and lure him away from the Storm, not that that worked well, but no one thought anything of it, because lots of teams have done it and will keep doing it to Melbourne as long as Craig Bellamy keeps churning out excellent young players.

A draft is not going to stop Melbournes dominance. They have a brilliant coach who has the foresight to see talent before it the player can, then the Storm system develop these guys into the stars that they are, classic example Josh Addo Carr….he was unwanted at the Tigers and Storm took him and nurtured him into to the super star he is today, Jahrome Hughes is another, he was an average full back who filled in for Billy Slater, they turned him a top grade number 7 and we cant forget Nicho Hynds and Ryan Papenhuyzen, I for one cant wait to see what Storm do with the new players they have got next year after the loss of Finucane, Addo Carr, & Hynds.
