Yes the problem is Aloisi ,

Blind Freddy can see his left and right backs are not up to scratch they are the problem .

I’ve never seen defenders not make a tackle preferring to retreat backwards allowing their opponent into the box with all the time in the world . News flash back tracking with your hands behind your back is not defence , surely John can see this . These 2 Jack and Conner have probably crossed into the box 1 once accurately each over there time in the team note Jack has been there for 5 years now .

The team will be better when Mauk actually plays as currently Lopez is sitting just outside Brisbane box trying to set up play . Mauk provides energy and passion which I haven’t seen in a brisbane player for 3 years his long term signing is key and brisbane should find players of this age and passion to play around him.

Ideally they would sign a marquee striker also not try and grow a local striker with the view that we want them to leave to find a better league that’s not future planning .

You can look at all the players –

Young great keeper extremely poor distribution doesn’t help attack

Papa good but slow

Bowles ok but not top class

Lopez shows passing promise no pace

Kristensen honestly past it

McKay passion speed but skill lacking these days

Michelson – can’t beat an opponent

Bautheac skill full quick but plays for himself

Taggart – injury prone looking for other opportunities

That leaves a poor bench and Mauk
And a very poor tactical coach and his “assistant ”

Things don’t look bright until something changes aloisi will run out with the same squad and get the same result that’s all he knows

Can John Aloisi coach Brisbane Roar out of the hole they're in?

I am a roar fan for the last 3 years I was once a diehard league fan from NSW . I came to watch my first roar game
Live via a free ticket and I took my son . It was brisbane vs victory and the atmosphere was electric and we were instantly hooked I have attended many league games prior with more fans and the atmosphere is nothing near what the roar provide . I have with both my son and daughter attended every game since . There were points made earlier that over the holidays the roar attracted 17500 fans to each game a large contributor to this was the kids go free idea and I would suggest the roar introduce this when the big games role around ie against Victory WSW Sydney fc. This will give families a chance to experience the atmosphere what we did when we first went and will
Likely lead to them firstly to return And like us become long term members . I would also suggest to create the atmosphere discount the den membership with a clause requiring to stand and be involved if you can pack the 3 bays all supporting you create the atmosphere the warrants attendance . The game and the roar have the right package it just needs to support and encourage what sets us apart and that’s atmosphere and fan involvement

Why can't Brisbane Roar attract bigger crowds?
